It's a shame we cannot have intelligent discussion and comments here. I can't fathom how anyone could still believe after all of these years that Bush was a good president considering the lying, the scandals, the endless wars, the torture, etc. And as far as our new President. I certainly don't understand how anyone can blame the economic crisis on someone who has only been in nationwide public office for about four years. President Obama did not deregulate the mortgage banking industry. I, for one, am happy we finally have someone educated in the White House again who doesn't govern by "gut feelings" but actually reads, listens, understands, and then does his best to make the best policy possible.

Your right, Bush did not deregulate the banking industry, Clinton did!

Do your research, Palin Lover....banking was de-regulated under Reagan for his 'trickle down economics'.

Palin doesn't read newspapers, why should this guy?

When referencing anything the Bush Administration Pirates did or still continue too do, I always remember one fact of their character before all else; THEY FLEW INTO WASHINGTON ONBOARD ENRON JETS.
What does that tell you? Investigate or destroy the Constitution and the laws it supports. It is that simple.

If the Bush position holds, then congress can never compel a senior member of any administration to testify- making a mockery of the constutional oversight responsibility...We become a "trust the president" country- serial monarchy.

But your buddy Obama has already woodwinked the constitution. He is a total fraud -- plain and simple..

Arrest Rove. Haven't Americans endured enough punishment from Bushmob and their enablers? Prosecute NOW.

Everyday the only thing Obama/Biden can come up with is, "the economy is bad, blah, blah, blah and we need to engage the american public.." Why? They were elected to lead. Obviously, and it was pretty clear two years ago, that neither one of them nor anyone in this ridiculous cabinet, is capable of anything more than running a lemonade stand.

The economy was destined to collapse and instead of recognizing this fact, LIberals always like to point the finger at Conservatives, while whining and doing absolutely nothing to contain the problems that beset us. Biden needs to get lost -- he has contributed ZERO in the past 30 years and cannot now contribute anything worthwhile. All Congressional members should be working for one buck and no benefits. These fat cats have all earned millions off the backs of the average taxpaying citizen. Time for them to work for a CHANGE. Plenty more to say on this subject.

it is time to start the criminal proceedings for all those responsible for all the misconducts and illegal activities perpetrated by bush and his underlings. start from the bottom and work the way up even if it leads to the president himself(bush) nixon didnt get away with his illegal activities and neither should bush and his cronies.

The Presiident is a human being, and the leader of the Republic of the United States of America for the peiriod of his elected term. George Bush must be thinking that he was made a "God", or the Pope who says that he speaks for God. It is time that the people, Congress, and the Courts made it clear to Bush that he is delusional.

Dems do enjoy wasting time and money. The pres. can ask anyone for advice, and no, you are not prvilidged to hear the conversations. What have we become. Just put a camera and microphone on every president and broadcast it for everyone if you want to know how many nose hairs he/she are pulling at any given moment. Know your enemies, and Rove is not it.

Wow. your comment makes you sound really conservative! Did you vote for bush? If so, I am curious as to how you wish to atone for the eight years of trajedy and murder you may have helped to vote in? Would you have the courage to do better? I don't suppose you attempted to vote for mcain as well? That probably would not fit in the definition of atonment for past wrong doing. Just don't forget.... Osama Bin Laden is a conservative too....

executive priveledge goes out the window when treason is the charge. clinton did it with his illegal behind closed doors signing of N.A.F.T.A. george bush did it with the agreement between he, mexico and canada for that north american highway agreement or what ever it's called. both acts were direct attacks on american sovereignty. not to mention foreign armies being allowed to operate on american soil. the "economic mess" we are supposedly in now is just another step in the american demise. nationalising the banking AND credit systems will be next in order to usher in the economic unification of the americas into one. by 2012 the amero will be the currency of the american union. bush and clinton were simple pawns of the process but they should still be made to answer for their parts in the demise of america.

No mention of the same doings by the Clinton administration here. The mainstream media continues to show that it is not objective in the least. Thank God for FOX and others for telling the other side of the story.

OBAMA should be sent to Gitmo for the rest of his life for the enormous fraud perpetuated against the American public. He is a criminal of the worst kind --

First of all instead of digging for crap from a previous adminstration they should start figuring out how they are going to get the united states out of this mess. Every day hundreds of people are losing their jobs and their houses, put your energy to helping the american people that is what you are in their for not ,to go on some witch hunt. This stimulus package is a joke you expect the american people to pay 40% interest on this and you are going to give acorn 4.17 billion may I ask why do you need to do this ? this is not stimulating the economy this is just a pay back for acorns help in stealuing the election. Don't think americans don't know what you are trying to pull.

Unfortunately, the 5th amendment has been seriously compromised. They can make you testify against yourself iby giving you immunity or using the tax code. Part of me wants George Bush to have to suffer along with the rest of us. The "privilige" of the Bush boys is just the privilige of any organized crime syndicate. Does the Mexican Mafia have to answer to the Italian Mafia? No, actually, they don't. Therefore The Bushies will not report to that den of thieves known as the US congress. I don't see the problem... it's business as usual.

Send them all to Guantanamo for one last criminally insane harrah before it is shuttered!

  • Posted By: tellitasitis4u2 @ 01/30/2009 11:11:53 AM

So, Bush is a god and can do anything he wants regardless of how evil it is and he can protect himself from prosecution by using a power he stole to begin with by defrauding voters via the SUpreme COurt and let the world know that he is the IAM of the American society.

  • Posted By: tucsonense @ 01/30/2009 11:10:24 AM

if they have comitted no wrong doings they have nothing to hide. so answer the subpoena.if they dont charge them all with contempt of congress and prosecute them on that charge.

  • Posted By: kturn @ 01/30/2009 11:10:21 AM

Couldn't the new President use his power, as the standing Executive, to "lift" the Executive Privilege of a previous President? I mean, after all, a messah-like power for President IS what Bush/Cheney sought, right? That should apply to the new guy too ...
It poses an interesting question - who has more power? The word of an ex-President or the word of the standing?
I think I know who should win, but we'll see.

Dems' "wasting time and money," compared to a $1 trillion on Dumbya's Jolly Oedipal Joyride in Iraq is the REAL joke.

  • Posted By: Do Unto Others As @ 01/30/2009 11:09:34 AM

I recall a Bush argument saying that "If you haven't done anything wrong, then you have nothing to hide" while defending his illegal wire tapping of the entire country. Hypocracy plain and simple.

These guys broke the laws. They probably broke a lot of laws. They will continue to break laws. They need to be investigated throughly, and if found guilty, jailed.
