    i really think it ought to be clear to all that the 3 wars have only weakened the economy of both countries -they did not benefit in anyway -only the western banks got the benefit from the misery of common indo-pakis
    i wonder when another true leader will come to indo-pak

    the only consolation is the rest of the world is in the same chaos as indo-pak
    and it seems to be getting worst globally
    a few priveleged so called political democrats bleed the majority dry

    Pakistan is dead. The west should give it up and cut off all relations.

    Let the Taliban take over and clean it up. They will make it a better place - more of the Islamic feel. We won't need to worry about them being westernized or settling inthe west. We can politely ask all the folks living in the west and still abiding to old world traditions to return and enjoy their traditions there.

    Speaking to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza GIlani amounts to addressing only one head of the many headed monster that is Pakistan.

    He is the designated International Public Face, the rest are not acceptable to the rest of the world even as they are more relevant and significant.

    When will Newsweek do side by side interviews with the Pakistani Prime Minister, Armed Forces Chief, ISI chief, Leaders of various Terrorist Organizations including the JED, Lashkar E Toiba, Taliban and the Al Quaeda.

    Ask them all the same questions and see them trip each other up with the answers they give.

    That would be true journalistic excellence!

The same way Indian Prime Minister Sonia Ghandhi, Dummy Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Old D*** head Mukharjee, Hindu Extremists Advani and Narindra Moodi, Out of mind Indian Army Chief who thread many times to invade Pakistan, Indian Intelligence Chief who was sleeping at the time of Mumbai attacks, and all Hindu Terrorist Organizations responsible for unrest within India doing.
      Todays excellent news is that Hindu Extremist Narindra Moodi admitted that the Mumbai attacks were carried out with the help of internal extremists. Find the news, read it and you must be ashamed of it.
      You are an Indian psycho. You need a psychiatric evaluation. No matter what you do or say, you can't hide the ugly face of India from the World.

        India is not perfect.

        But we Indians take comfort when we look at Pakistan that is infinitely worse.

        Here the democratically elected Government controls the Armed Forces and the RAW.

        In Pakistan, the Armed Forces and ISI call the shots. When they crack the whip every politician jumps, whether they are in or out of government

        We have intolerant Hindu fundamentalists but they are in a minority and our elections allow us to keep them out, most of the time.

        When the rare Hindu reactively turns militant and allegedly terrorist, the Police actually take action against them and arrest them.

        In Pakistan, arresting such people will put majority of the citizens behind bars. Today the army cannot fight Taliban terrorists on the western frontier because it means confronting the very people they have trained, encouraged and fostered.

        India has a legacy of rock solid institutions that have stood the test of time and the challenges that it has faced.

        Pakistan has no credible institution except the Armed Forces / ISI combine and it has effectively sabotaged or destroyed all the rest.

        India will be with China and the US, the largest economies in the immediate future.

        Pakistan is not just a failed state but a failed economy and must depend on handouts to feed itself

        The facts speak for themselves.

        Vituperation, abuse, invective and execration cannot change facts, and neither can they reflect well on the nation whose honor you seek to defend

        I shudder to think that if educated Pakistanis (i assume someone who read's Newsweek Online, is educated) have such virulently deluded visions of their pathetic country, what would be the majority of the Mullah-controlled Pakistani simpletons thinking?

        Pakistan is sinking deeper and deeper into a morass. Gilani is right at least partially - they certainly have no capacity to control themselves. Someone else needs to come and do that.

    The Government of Pakistan will pay US$1.5 million to the UN secretary-general???s office by next week as seed money for a Fact Finding Commission to look into the assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto that according to a conservative calculation would actually cost up to US$30 million.
    First of all Do they have any money ? even if they have ,then they have to Spend on wellbeing of pakistani. PM and President of Pakistan asking for AID Money all over the world and here they spending money for what?
    If they can't find culprit of Benazir then how can they investingate Bombay terror plot? MINDBOGGLING

    Anyway According to Gilani he wants to spend US aid money on Weapon for Police and Army don't want to fight terrorist.
    I hope OBAMA is listening

    What is the probability of Hindu or Christian extremists coming to Pakistan and shooting up people? Do we need to count the number of times the opposite occurs - i.e. Islamic extremists trained in Pakistan going out to neighboring countries and the US to commit murder?

    It is not about religion or illiteracy. It is about culture. Pakistan suffers from a culture of lies and violence and the world suffers because of it.

The whole World knows your terrorist hands in the unrest of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Burma. It is Indian Hindoos Exteremist's Policy to intimidate neighboring countries. Late President Nixon sketches India's Ugly face very clearly in his book. Read it and feel ashamed of it. Read the columns of peace loving Indian writers as well who are constantly engaged in showing the mirror of realities to Indian leadership.

    Pak has no nationhood in their souls, they were tied in their unholy matrimony, separated they will live better humans. The Punjabi dominated Pak army is oppressing the Balochis who are a distinct nation unto themselves. They have no common heritage with Sindhis, Punjabis and Mohajirs, who are more of Indian in their heritage.

            Look at the contrast. India is the only country which gives a platform for Muslims to shine on world stage. A R Rahman is the first & only Muslim who is close to winning an Oscar. Pakistan is a poor country, which cannot afford the burden of a large army, nor can it dispense with it, as long as India does not desist from fanning insurgencies in Balochistan and resolves outstanding problem of Kashmir. It cannot divert all its resources to defeat terrorism, unless the West bails it out and provides it the equipment to defeat them. What is happening in Afghanistan,Swat and the tribal belt is a legacy of the uS aided war against Russaian forces, when America supported so called mujahideen from all over the world, to wage this so called holy war. while America sought its Vietnam revenge, Pakistan had to endure the burden of armed warriors turned mercenaries, fighting a war, that had no purpose. The Pakistani economy neither has the capacity nor the capabilty to shoulder the burden of this war. The world must foot in the total bill, and also pool its resources to clean this mess. Bombing innocent civilians through drone attacks, will only further add to problems. There are too many collateral deaths and a reliable intelligence gathering is required through well planned surgical attacks that must only target foreign terrorists or those who support acts of terror.

    Eight long years of misrule by Gen Musharraf has given Pakistan an economy in ruins, lawlessness, spread of terrorism, weak instituions, a judiciary devoid of any credibilty and growing ranks of poverty. America should not have given blind support to Musharraf, a man who had usurped the constitution and illegally staged a coup against an elected government. Pakistan has lost over $35 Billion in this war against terrorism, while India has created trouble for it by supporting rebel tribes in Baluchistan, through RAW agents supplying arms through its 14 consular offices located in Afghanistan. Pakistan is caught between the devil and deep sea. The so called mujahideen left over from the Afghan war aginst Soviet Union, have become a problem for Pakistan. The best way to fight terrorism is to restore an independent judiciary, cvapable of giving undiluted justice to the people and educationg the millions of poor that live below the poverty line.

    Reading comments from Pakistani in this forum, I realized that half of Pakistani is now suffering from Mental disorder ,Name a few after 71 War ,they are suffering from Postpartum - Depressive Disorder,Gunfiring Behavior , Impulse Control Disorders, Mental Retardation - Multiple Personality Disorder, Schizophrenia . This is classic case for any psychiatric to research mental disorder for whole of Population, I also Urged to all Pharmaceuticals company to send PROZAC in bulk to Pakistan to treat this mental patients. Of course free of charge, our tax payer money. I am very serious about this, someone has to take this project and find out what is going on with this GUN trotting population?
    Most of this Pakistani comments are baseless and out of illusion because of there mental disorder. They can???t even discuss rationally.

More than 80% Indian population living in poverty. Millions are sleeping on sidewalks with hunger every night and they all needs psychiatric evalution and prozac as well. You also need to see the "Slumdog Millionaire." You will get a better crystal clear picture of "Slum" all over India. You stupid Indians needs to spend money on poor people instead of buying twenty billions dollars new weapons. Pakistan don't need all these billions of dollars weapons. Do you know why? Because If, God forbid, both countries engaged in war, Pakistan will not fight its war on borders, they will use "Patakhas" from the control rooms which are fully capable to wipe out India from the face of the earth.
