    Mr Holder need not be any part of our great America. He called us cowards..If this is what he thinks then tell him to get out of America and go to whereever?? Black people have as much right to success here in America as white people do.. So if he thinks I am a coward I offer him a chance to come to me and face me.

    Americans are not cowards when it comes to talking about race. How can anyone who is not black talk about race when our own government uses its power to cowe individuals and prevent them from talking about it? Seems like the attorney general's idea of a conversation about race is a one way conversation. He says we hide in our segregated cocoons. Did he ever stop to think maybe we like it that way.

    This just in from the hopenchange Dept.

    Arguing for the Obama administration before the 9th US,the new AGs boys lay the chips down and state that the administration must include extraordinary rendition as a portion of keeping state secrets. They argue that they must keep these secrets as a portion of maintaining ''national security''.

    Next,the new Solicitor General nominee,Elena Kagan,[Harvard Law],states that the new administration must be able to ''indefinately detain al Qaeda suspects because we are at war with al Qaeda''.

    Then,as a portion of the stim package,the new all-encompassing ''National Health Data Base'' on each and every single last American made the HHS cut in the House. Courtesy of the Democrats.

    The more things change,eh.....? [had this been Bush,and it actually was,when making the same arguments EXCEPT the ''national data base'',you lefties out there would have burned him in effigy [and did].

    Wheres the phony outrage now? [and why is NEWSWEAK dragging its ass on these curious developments]?

    He gets a bunch of them actually.

    One. The WH seizure of the US Dept. of the Census,a first in American history. This sets up a USSC intervention at a later date.

    Two. The willingness of Leon Panetta and Gen. Jones to allow ''enhanced interrogation techniques'',whatever these are......

    Three. These ''new powers'' afforded the National Security Council. Without so much as a yawn,the WaPo,which would have come undone had the news eminated from a ''Bush''administration,duly notes the sweeping new powers vested in the NSA/NSC which will include domestic surveillance.

    Four. The idea at the new HHS of compiling a new ''health data base''on all Americans,which can be used against these at a later time should any of these run for public office by leaking details to the press[as was ''inadvertantly''done [Washington Post,AP] only days ago regarding political opponant Mike Steele of the RNC]. TB in your past? Perhaps herpes or gonnorhea? HHS will be able to allow the fifth columnists of the fourth estate to know all.

    Five. The willingness of the new AG to actively prosecute politically connected individuals who may have allowed torture to be carried out on Americans. In this case,Mayor Daley of Chicago,and in his case,while city attorney during the 1980s,of overseeing one of the largest policies of torture ever carried out by a big city police department in modern American history on African Americans,rivaled only by Philadelphia mayor Rizzos [''Rizzos Raiders''] PD in the 1970s. This case is now being investigated by Asst US Atty. Patrick Fitzgerald and is being stonewalled by Daley.

    Holder has a full plate,leaving even lefties who originally supported Obama,feeling upset,as you may deduce here.

    After WW2, the minions of the Nazis bleated the same refrain over and over. "I was just following orders. I was just following orders." We are Americans. There are ways things are done, and ways they are not done. The CIA operatives could have resigned rather than engage in behavior any fool would know to be wrong. The only ones who should be shown even a modicum of mercy are those who agree to plea bargain and testify against their masters in the Bush administration. Letting these people off the hook will simply create a government and society where anything magically becomes moral and acceptable simply because those in authority will it so.

      The Nazis chemically and physically tortured, dismembered Jews and placed them into furnaces alive. They systematically tortured starved and murdered 6 million Jews. This hardly compares to water boarding a half dozen prisoners. Waterboarding although uncomfortable causes no harmful or lasting effects whether you agree with it or not.

    I agree completely with the comments made by "Against-Ignorance." We are Americans and we don't toture. The torturers had free will, and no one coulds force them to do what is not right. Amazing how some folks have no moral compass. We don't need those pepole in our government as "operatives." Right is right, and wrong is wrong, and torture iis wrong, and everybody in the US knows it.
