well the biggest killer is coronary artery disease in the west and that has stress as one of the 4 major factors witout any doubt -so please now do not tell us stress does not cayse hypertension and then hypertension does not cause cardiac ,renal and neurovascular episodes -as that is truly a very petulant and peculiar theory even if it is rather pleasing to speculate for the stressed out westerners

Stress is one of the important killer of human beings. there is no doubt about it. In Yoga there are so many techniques to reduce stress. i understand that even Diane Bedell, the director of an emergency Psychiatric center uses Yoga, but she doen't know the real Yoga. . If you learn the real Yoga techniques you don't have to go to a psychiatrist or psychologist. Yoga is widely spread in the uS and elsewhere. Once up on a time yoga was only for a certain group of upper class. Now any one can practice yoga. I hope Obama administration will give much importance to yoga in this troubled economy so that the health care expenses could be cut short.

Wow, after stressing the bejeesus out of us for most of this article about how overwhelmingly damaging stress is for us -- even happiness-related stress, Dr. Komaroff ends with one last paragraph that says "stress, however, is rarely the sole, convenient explanation for a patient's suffering."

Golly! But couldn't he have told us this up front ? I nearly had a heart attack!
