The only problem is Hulu is streaming only for US audience, while YouTube is available globally. Mind you, the US is NOT the world.
Hulu, founded by NBC and Fox, has become a better moneymaker than Web darling YouTube. The moral: better content wins.

you tube is a waste of space and have the most confusing crireria of terms of use -they seem to think they are doinsg the uploaders a favour -it is actually they who are the beneficiaries and i think it is a political site for promoting certain ideology -i find it to be particularly biased to zionism and is very much biased and bigoted too -it has a broadly hypocritical policy where some uploaders are favoured over others and the same video uploads can be disabled if they do not like your name or ethnicity -their criteria include rampant suspensions and censorship without any explanation ,
it is a gisgrace for google and american society for it cannot even respect the fundamentals of human tolerance ,
shame on youtube -they deserve this and worst
bravo to hulu
i wish them the best and a great triumph over youtube
The cable companies can't die soon enough, but the problem is that Hulu doesn't seem to want to compete: they pulled their content from Boxee, which facilitates watching on a TV instead of a computer. I wonder if NBC and Fox are being threatened by the cable co.s or what?
I've been a fan of Hulu for months now, and like that though all the same shows are available on each network's own sites, they are compiled in one place at Hulu. However, I was very disappointed to read that the site is programmed by a team in China. They hired someone based their to lead the project and he hired only his nation's nationals. So even though it supposedly is an American company, the jobs that were created by it are mostly in China. I bet only marketing and accounting are taking place in LA. What a shame they couldn't have hired US programmers to bring US TV to the masses online, from one hub. To see them then profit above the truly US based Google (Youtube owner) is another disappointment. Of course, a cheap labor out sourcer can undercut the competition that is paying a decent wage to workers in the most prosperous nation on Earth. But how are we to remain the most prosperous nation on Earth if our own companies refuse to show any loyalty to their own nation? I think I'll go back to visiting each network's individual sites instead of using Hulu. I just can't stomach supporting that... and no, I do not shop at Wal-mart. I'm willing to pay more to support American businesses that hire American workers, and I hope you'll consider the idea yourself.
How is Hulu revolutionary? Everyone has wanted TV & Movies available online - legally - for years. The fact that someone did it is rather evolutioary, but also an obvious step. Bring the content and we will come.
Comcast also has a Hulu an affiliated website Fancast.com that is a bit easier to navigate, and provides similar content.
Thanks so much for the helpful link to Internet. I was wondering what those things were. It was also great that, when I clicked on "Hulu," I wasn't taken to Hulu's actual site. VALUE ADDED!

So you've based the premise of this whole article on some revenue figures that some dude (who has nothing to do with YouTube or Hulu) just made up and are unconfirmed?
I am willing to bet that evetually Hulu goes to a pay-per-use or subscription based model. Afterall, even if they charge $10/mo, that is less than what cable charges.
Just in time for this article, Hulu's content partners have demanded that Hulu block usage by Boxee, a slick media player program (like Apple's FrontRow, but, uh, good). People use Boxee to remotely control their PC when it's connected to their TV, so it was encroaching too much on the TV network's turf. People also run Boxee on AppleTV to make the box worth using.
Latest word is that someone wrote a plug-in for Boxee that lets you see Hulu again. (Boxee is open source.)
