These Photographs are interesting but not anywhere among the best. These bands were shot by much better photographers such as Terry O'Neill, Ethan Russel, Jim Marshall, Gered Mankowitz, Robert Freeman, Dominique Tarle and Robert Whitaker, not as fan snaps but as lasting impressions of artists who changed the face of music and changed with it.
Best examples can be found at the Morrison Hotel Gallery, http://www.morrisonhotelgallery.com

These are not very good photographs of two bands who were shot more than anyone by very accomplished photographers like Jim Marshall, Ethan Russell Terry O'Neil and Gered Mankowitz. Much better photographs can be found at The Morrison Hotel Gallery. http://www.morrisonhotelgallery.com

For those of us who led their lives under the spell of the Gurus of the Rock World, this is Manna from Heaven! My greatest hope is that the rest of the 3,500 photos will be made available to the public so that my insatiable appetite for all things Beatle will at long last be slaked.

This is a time of reflection and hope. I am a 55 year old Cherokee/German male. I was raised outside Fort Smith Ark as a child. There I saw Black Americans washed from the streets and mocked in KKK parades. I could not understand why this was happening. I understood the Dec. of Indipendance very well, I understood that all men were created equal but myself saw the disparity between myself and the white kids in school. But the blacks were treated with unusal cruelity. I could walk down the street and not violate any curfew. I could drink from the white fountains and eat at any resturaunt, but often I felt out of place in all white households.
How could a race loose everything including their names, hetitage, culture, and freedom but fill with pride for this country, enough pride to go off to war to fight and die if necessary only to return home not to heros paraids but to a second class welcome. I have been lost for understanding until reciently. this is for all those who lost their names and history. President Obama can trace his name, heritige, culture and family tree. President Obama is the Black American's light in the night. He is the light house that not only guides passing ships but beckons the lost ships home. President Obama is the United in United States, he has defined and supplied all that has been lost by a race of people hat has given their all just to fit in yet have been excluded from the life promised by our most sacrad documents. I cannot help but get watery eyed every time I think of the day I watched the inoguration of our latest and probually the greatest president we have ever had.
Black America this is for those that can't retrace their history, you have a great and admirable man to imulate and adopt. His black history is your history, would you not like to experence dressing in a fimily wrobe and feel the pride of history. You can now be adopting his history. President Obama is not there by accident, The need for closure required a man with a traceable life to guide those that have been cheated that which is so precious.
then how can one man satisfy all of the needs of Black America and still reach across the race void. I am amazed at what we have in his presence and in a place of such importance. I expect someone to report that he is part Indian any time now. I do not want to mock our president but he is a hero truly of mythical proportions.
There better not be one true american to raise a hand to bring harm in any to this man by word or by physical contace. There could be no greater disgrace to a person than to bring harm to our President. This is our one best chance to prove that we do mean what is writtren in our guiding documents, if we fail the country falls it will be proven that mankind cannot become civilized and accept his brother no matter where or who he may be
    Thank you, Ron

Newsweek: Please be more clear on your Web site just what issue #, what date of publication, these stories appear. Give us a cover shot, and the index that will appear in that particular issue, so we can look for it on the newsstand. See below, all the people who ask whether he Stones/Beatles photos are in youe present issue....too confusing for your own good.
    Thanks

The sign behind Brian Jones is ironic, kind of like the "Not to be Taken Away" chair that Keith Moon sat in on the cover of Who Are You>

Kind of odd to see Mal hold a gun to Ringo considering how Mal left this world. Anyways, great photos of The Beatles!!! Love the first group shot.

These are pretty nice photos. Although I have to point out that in photo #5 (Lennon and his "monster-face") Lennon is actually just clapping his hands in a, for lack of a better word, retarded manner. You can see him do this in a lot of old video of them performing. He also stamps his feet along with the clap. It's actually quite funny to witness although not really politically correct now.

John began mocking "cripples" in his early Liverpool Teddy Boy days. As the Beatles toured, the word became code for anyone they didn't want to be brought to them backstage, oddly enough, usually handicapped people. I think John finally "got over it" in later years. Note
      "Crippled Inside..."
