Wall Street reacted to his speach, dropping 100 points today. They don't believe a single thing he says except his gloomy predictions.
The president gets facts wrong about oil imports, mortgage aid and the transcontinental railroad, and more.
Wall Street reacted to his speach, dropping 100 points today. They don't believe a single thing he says except his gloomy predictions.
This is the problem with Wall Street. We're relying on greedy speculators to tell us how to run our country? That's what got us here in the first place! Wall Street be damned...
As Wall Street goes so goes the nation - as soon as you and Obama relaize that things might start getting better.
One bankruptcy every minute instead of every 30 seconds. Wow! that really is an exaggeration. Only a Republican could see it this way.
Only 1/4 of all bankruptcies are filed for medical reasons not 1/2 and not every minute every two minutes so if we provide national health insureance for everyone the next bankruptcy will be Uncle Sam based on the federal record of running programs.
So, if falsely inflating something BY 100 PERCENT is not considered an exaggeration, then i can tell you, without exaggeration, to suck my 12 inch ***
How weak.
As if there is a functional, meaningful difference between a bankrupcy every minute or 30 seconds. That changes everthing, doesn't it?
Now that I know that there is a bankruptcy only every minute, I know that Obama is lying that there is a financial crisis. Everything is just swell, right?
It's almost like Obama is luring us into an untaxed-for war, and leaving OBL running loose, with the lie that Iraq posed an imminent threat to us.
Yes, I see the paralellel. And the significance.
Weak.
You voted for him!!!
so, if you don't consider falsely inflating something by100 percent is not exaggerating, i guess i can tell you, without exaggeration, to syck my 12 inch ***
Remember, it's not what President Obama says, it's how he says it. He's still a great speech-maker, and uses words not to persuade by their truthfulness, but by the feelings they evoke. He wants you to feel good. He doesn't care about informing you. Truth, fiction, it's all the same to liberals.
And fiction is truth, and truth an inconvenience to a conservative.
Mebbe so.
...mebbe not.
The United States Representatives www.house.gov Feb.26,2009
Which killed two resolutions to conduct ethics probes of Jack Murtha [D-Pa] and Charles Rangel [D-NY] both of whom are under a federal investigation for corruption. The Flake [R-Az]-introduced bills died on a party-line vote apart from 17 Dems who joined with the GOP in the case of Murthas PMA pals. [Murtha himself, voted ''No'' and told reporters that he had: ''no comment''.]
The ''truth''was that we were supposed to have ''the most ethical Congress in history''according to Nancy Pelosi[D-Ca].
I have no problem with what he said. In fact, it only makes me support him further. For example, the 95% "tax cut"...I do agree that only WORKING people should get it. Why should someone not working--not paying into the tax system--get a tax credit? That's why we have women making $12/hour w/ 2 children getting $8k back in taxes. (True story.) You should get back what you pay in.
As far as the automobile and bankruptcy quotes...those are just technicalities. I don't think anyone can argue that the US launched the car to what it is today. Also, medical bankruptcy every 30 seconds or every minute is still insane.
Factcheck.org is one of the very few organizations that you can safely say are not trying to promote a particular party, they tell you when republicans or democrats are trying to distort reality to promote some agenda. Good job Factcheck.org!
BREAKING NEWS! The Ban on photos of the fallen returning home has been lifted, for the first time families will be consulted before the loved ones are returned to see if they apporve of the photos...details to come.
Presidential Hyperbole: all presidents lie That's how they get elected in the first place
Exaggeration kills credibility
LMAO!...really, so how do you feel about Bush?..now let's see if you can manage an answer...lol
Consumers are reacting, and behavior is reversing to actions not seen since the ???90s.

This bodes well for a gradual and shallow recovery.
Compared to the blatant LIES of the Bush administration, that Newsweek didn't even mention , I am wondering why you re are picking oiu tn these very minute mistakes in Obamas speech??
A little Rupert Murdock influence?or someone else out of the three hundred ultra rich people that own our mass media who might not like to see our Republic restored to of and for the people?
