I think it's great the services this women's son is getting and I feel sorry for her daughter. I think the school system should be able to provide for both of them but since they cannot, I think this women should homeschool her daughter instead of making her trudge through another second of sitting in a classroom where she cannot reach her full potential. This is why we homeschool! We have a child on the autistic spectrum and we have a child who is very bright, we want both of them to get an individualized curriculum but I would NEVER count on a school system to provide that, they just can't.

If i had thought like this mom my 11 yr old Autistic son wouldnt be going into a normal 6th grade Middle school next yr He didnt speak or make eye contact till he was 5.5 yrs old now he is in mostly regular classes With an aide and getting As and Bs to boot so i guessi should have given up on hope for him and pushed his NT brother more according to this womans logic . Shoudl i have let him alone to grow up and live on SSI One day i will die and my goal is to make sure BOTH MY KIDS DONT NEED ME every child that can be helped must be helped
