She is acting just like the Republicans - putting party before country.

Why is Queen Pelosi taking a military jet? Dumb broad!

Pelosi has always been a problem. Remember Impeachment is off the table? Screw her!

Pelosi and Hary Reed should be removed from their office. They are not only to partisan but also not visionaries. They are very tactical people who should not hold the position they are in now. Bring in some young and fresh mind......

I just have one question: Can someone name three original and positive ideas that have translated into good bills from Pelosi or Reid since they became congressional leaders? Ideas that they have personally and earnestly campaigned for in their districts and fought hard for. Not of their surrogates but from them. In my view, they are process bureaucrats and attack dogs but far from problem solvers.

I also agree. Attack dog is their function, however even though I think they should scale down their aggression slightly to stop drowning out the President.

What do I think? I think Pelosi is full of hate or just plain crazy. The first time I wrote to her was when she got up in front of the world gratulating herself, Reid, and Barney Franks for bailing out the banks. Thought I was going to throw up because I had just heard Barney Franks weeks before tell us that everything was okay regarding housing (subprime mortgages). No repsonse. Second time I wrote to her was regarding the over the top, too rushed (transparent) Stimulus Bill that no one had a chance to read. No response. I'd write to her again regarding bi-partistanship, but don't want to waiste my time.

Nancy Pelosi is FAR from representing the Progressive mindset. She and her cohorts that Democrats like I and others helped vote into Congress in 2006 were impotent against the president and their republican counterparts. What did change was the presidents Iraqi strategy which perhaps the american people did have a say in by renouncing those that ran on the other side. But the former president doesn't deserve any credit on the change in Iraq. That is due in part to the generals on the ground. And yes it could fall apart any moment especially when we pull out but considering the way things were going in 06 that's the closest thing we have towards Victory since Bush claimed it in 03.
Some people who are apathetic (the mainstream centrists) say they were bi-partisan in attempting to work with republicans. In reality there's no such thing as bi-partisan, it just means one side will get more compromises than the other in holding to their ideals while the other folds on theirs and caves in. This is why someone like Cindy Sheehan was attempting to replace her to actually bring change within the Progressive/Liberal/Democratic movement.

At least the republicans hold to their ideals and didn't support something they don't believe in. This is why democrats are considered weak and wafflers. Now that Pelosi can grovel in front of real change (which is tending to appear more and more like the usual washington insider with past insiders and clintonites as his cabinet), she brandishes her lack of true political, business, and socio-economic insights like Sarah Palin did on the right. She's a nobody from San Francisco that hasn't fixed anything or accomplished anything. She's never run a business and somehow thinks she's allowed to fly back n forth in a private jet on the publics dime while getting nothing accomplished while scorning Corporate Cronies for doing what they have to, to run their bloated corporate buearacracies in their jets by ensuring business deals get done and the cancer called the economy/free market capitalism continues to thrive.

The hypocracy on both sides, democratic and republican, is staggering when it comes to overspending, taxation, inefficiency, and mistakes. And yet these are the "distinguished ladies and gentleman" (as obama put it in his state of the union) that we elect to represent us.

From her defense of potentially corrupt congressmen as leaders (certainly shady) to her inability to lead the house toward compromise and moving forward on the President's agenda she has not shown very much American leadership, but a large amount of partisian politics.

Too partisan? The Democrats won this election, and they should act like it. I certainly didn't see anything bi-partisan about the Republican response to Obama's hand extended in friendship. The Republicans spent like drunken sailors when they had control of the government, then they handed the mess they created to Obama. They broke the country, and now, NOW, they complain about the bill. These are the guys that doubled the national debt in 10 years, so that they could turn the country lock, stock and barrel over to the fat cats in Wall Street. You can see what we got in return for that-

We need to get a new Speaker, Nancy is not helping the problem we face, since she added $50 million in the stimulas to save the "salt marsh mouse" out side of San Fransico. I hope Pres. Obama does something to get a new Speaker in there that will help unite this country.

The President needs to lobby for a new Speaker of the House. Nancy Pelosi has become a liability for the Democratic Party and for the President.

America's working taxpayers want common sense approaches to the problems we face as a nation. It is common sense to work together for the good of the American people. As the Democratic Congressional leadership shuts out the ideas of the Republican party in an effort to advance their own agendas, they risk a huge backlash at the ballot box in 2010. If President Obama does not rein Pelosi and others in to institiute common sense policies, we will remember this in 2012.

As speaker Pelosi is supposed to be partisan however she is being too partisan to be helpful to the country now.

  • Posted By: healey6 @ 03/04/2009 2:46:35 PM

She is a disaster and single handedly is causing a great divide in Congress.

  • Posted By: graftongal @ 03/04/2009 1:14:00 PM

Pop-up Pelosi? She is the most obnoxious excuse for a woman. What a sorry representative she is, I personally can't believe she was reelected, and now still Speaker. God help us.

  • Posted By: graftongal @ 03/04/2009 1:12:15 PM

Pop-up Pelosi! Obama better get his eggs in a row. I did not vote for Obama, but he is now the President, so I definitely hope he can do the job for America, but it is looking very bad right now. It is has gotten down right scary. God help us all.

All I can say is What a shame!, The very first woman speaker, and she turns out to be a Wacko. She doesn't seem to care what others in this country want, she has her own agenda, ambitions, and goals. I've written to her on her Government website, telling her my concerns over the Stimulous that just passed, and I didn't get a single response. She just doesn't care what Americans think... she's there for herself.

  • Posted By: sirbryan1955 @ 03/04/2009 9:58:47 AM

This woman is the most Obnoxious member of Congress I've seen in decades. She has a juvenile attitude about bi partisanship and cooperation with other members of Congress. She reminds me of a 5 year old spoiled brat that has to get her way or have a temper tantram. She needs to get the boot and become a co host on The View. I'd love to see her and Barbara Walters lock horns. Pelosi would be out classed, out smarted and show American that she is definately out of her mind.

  • Posted By: Grissy @ 03/04/2009 9:02:47 AM

Pelosi is the most OBNOXIOUS member of the House, ever. As long as she is at the helm the turmoil will flow and grow. She would better serve America as study material for the effects of Botox overload to the brain. The woman is a joke. Typical liberal NUT JOB.

  • Posted By: MCGILL @ 03/03/2009 11:32:42 PM

Pelosi is an idiot lights on nobody home her job as speaker of the house is beyond her abilities. She would better serve her country in the kitchen of a homeless shelter and most likely she would also screw that up as well.
