i think the arabs are not that naive -they have pacts with china iran and they are extremely close to pakistanis -in fact pakistan and the oil rich nations are one in reality .
emirates is doing well by expanding into europe as the french german culture is much less islamophobic then the angloamerican -
it is too obvious to ignore the reality of that

The rich Arab nations are not thinking properly on their future. They have been brainwashed by the US and the West that their only survival is through these two powers (the US and West). The rich Arab nations are being swindled right infront of their own eyes. Whatever seemingly good that comes from their cooperation with the US and the West, all come with a very huge price. These nations are now being subjugated to the whimps and fancies of the US and the West, their economies will be controlled by the US and West, their thoughts and culture will be influenced by them.

Just look at Dubai now. Dubai has spent so much money for dubious prospects and all the construction costs have been inflated so high that the US and West are actually siphoning the money out from Dubai leaving nothing behind. Similar scenario happened in Hong Kong when the British returned back Hong Kong to China.

The rich Arab nations should have invested in other fields instead of solely in finance nad properties in the US and West. The should have been bold enough to invest in the poor countries in Africa. This will make the region richer and infact the Arab nations could be another superpower by now, who could have a say and influence in any major world decision. The rich Arabs nations could be a major player in the economic market. Yes it is a long term investment to help develope a poor country, but the donor country will have the same advantage as what the US and West have right now!

But as of now, Kuwait is licking the French boots.
