He's right, funny that. Corporate sponsors beware, Jon is on the case.
I fear after all is said and done, when the economy turns positive again that people will forget and continue the same cycle of stupidity.
Seems so no one is talking energy policy at all. Nuke, solar, wind, gasification of coal (if done cleanly), and hydrogen could work, The nukes could help with the hydrogen production, Alot of ppl are tallking natural gas but i believe that should be use just to supplement the change over.
It was about time, cable and regular T.V. programs behave as infomercials for companies. NBC and CNBC, whose parent company is G.E., are the most conspicuous in this regard. Their marquee shows such as TODAY are so blatant as ???info??? format that you cannot tell the difference between Fox and NBC.
T.V. Journalism has transformed itself into a cynical sound bit machine, trumpeting the wares of corporate America, their interests not aligned with the viewing public.
Jon performed an excellent job at exposing the corporate jesters at CNBC. They have aided and abetted the malfeasance of corporate America.
Go Jon !!!
I think it's very sad that a "comedian" is the most serious "journalist" of our era. When did the members of the Fourth Estate give up their collective job as the investigative, truth-seeking, hold-everyone-accountable, protectors-of-democracy branch of society to become mindless, soulless shilling pundits in the echo chamber? We need a lot fewer support-our-ideology opinions masquerading as "news" and a return to real investigative reporting. And get away from the sound bites for pete's sake. Educate us, inform us, don't pander to or patronize us.

Jon Stewart is a Genius. Kramer is everything that is wrong with the media and with the press. Although Kramer was not guilty for the economic crisis CNBC was not honest with the American people and people like Kramer are just the impersonation of this insult.
The megamedia corp. mae money on keeping people watching, not by reporting actual news. If they were conserned about investors they would not have all the bells and whistles. Sound bussiness advice makes money just as well if it is delivered in a professional manner or screamed at the consumer. If CNBC had real helpful information to put out they would not have all the bells and whislte.
They continue to be part of the problem. I don't know how Stewart was able to maintain composure. Cramer is the personification of what is wrong with Wall Street and our gimme mentality. We're so screwed!
They did fail us. They were part of the problem. Profits and to hell with the future.
You go Jon!!
Thank you jon, Great tools , your so right.
Thank you Jon Stewart, TRUTH IS A TOOL FOR TOMORROW
Stewart is entertaining - often very, very funny. when he took on the Mad Money guy we were seeing broadcast journalism at its very best.
All signal folks - we have been waiting to hear this from someone - anyone - and for it to come from Stewart - Great!
Bravo Jon Stewart, the despotic and the brute ruled the day and you called it. But the media is their tool and we are being rounded parsed, branded and led to the milking stall every day by its magic powers.
Between joke and joke the truth is revealed though, sad thing is, Jon Stewart can make fun of the kings shirt, but he eats at his table, and as long as he is the funny guy, they will keep him there, to release the tension, you see? Some type of Dr. Feelgood leaving the hopeless consolation that someone is at last saying something. And by the way, do you really think the media is in any way serving the American public? Yes? When was the last time you wrote the paycheck for anyone on CNN, NBC, ABC etc. ? Never that's when! The only media we pay is PBS when we feel guilty.
When are we going to get it? It is us the ones that should say NO when they com with some sheme promising a lot for a little of our hard earned cash. The only way to real wealth is with our hard work, and the only sure way to retirement is SAVINGS! And by the way, without a doubt, ill gotten treasures will always go away in the same way they came, also it is a mathematical impossibility that every American can become a a billionaire even after squeezing every ounce of wealth from every third world country which has the bad luck of falling in our hands.
Remember the real American dream is... err.. err..., well, It's err.. well, none knows for sure... anymore...
CEO's, Wall Street managers and Bankers are destroying the trust of the working person in America. Their greed is un-mistakeable.

Distrust of Wall Street and its managers are one reason why the average floks will not enter the mutual fund or stock markets anymore. These greedy managers get rich on other people money and tell everyone to keep investing while they get rich. Adios Wall Street.
Stewart returned the most damning indictment of the financial news networks I've ever heard. I sincerely hope someone at CNBC & FNN were listening. My old friend Justin Case says THE PEOPLE should follow up & put pressure on them to do REAL news and not just provide a platform for CEO's & other snake oil salesmen to tout their wares & lies.
Jon Stewart has my vote of confidence! His show has done this country a great sevice! If only there were more who would expose corporate 's greed!!!
Good for Jon Stewart. He helped to bring the obvious into the open. But truly, I do feel that whenever a large business entity/corporation controls news networks and/or outlets like newspapers/magazines there is a greater danger for conflict of interest. A corporation's first allegiance is to it's stockholders. Anything that threatens to compromise this will be marginalized (i.e. the truth suppressed.) Also, one must always question whether or not some of the same corporations were benefitting monetarily.
