Obviously your mouth was where it didn't belong.
Thanks for sharing, but you're right. That is disgusting. Did you want to comment on the article?
"Mahbub is a spiritual teacher, energy healer and financial consultant" Now that's a scary combination! It use to be that you'd be wary of a energy healer, no it's the financial consultant part that worries me.
I'm gay and in a long term relationship....18 years! My brother is very christian and at first had a hard time with me. However, after spending time with me and my partner, things changed. Once he said, "I think I like him better than you!" Which is a typical kind of compliment from an older brother. I think people's attitudes change when they know someone is gay and spend time with them.
This guy is lucky, real lucky he didn't get killed. Glad he is ok now in NY.
I am so naive, I still can't believe a cultured, intelligent person should have to go through this. I just don't understand hatred in the least.
So.........did you ever get cornholed by this bearded guy?
Hey! its Mustache Man, Where you been all these years!
The 10 Commandments say nothing about homosexuality. Know your facts before you INCORRECTLY put your own spin on them. And this story has NOTHING to do with Christianity. This person is not a Christian. He's Muslim. BIG DIFFERENCE. That being said. If homosexuality is indeed a sin, that is between the sinner and God. I CORRECTLY recall Jesus teling us not to pass judgment. Because we all sin. One of the Commandments says to obey the law of the land. How many of you speed. Which is against the law and therefore is a SIN. We all sin, you don't get to pick which sins are better or worse than others. Therefore, let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
God did not give you a penis to put in where poop comes out of. Why do you think you can only have babies by putting a penis in a pusse_?
The word is "***". And I know God didn't give men a tongue to lick vaginas or women a mouth to suck penises, but people have oral sex all the time...you may have done it yourself.
So homosexuality is a sin ...i get it ...Jews Christians and Muslims all come from the same god and follow the same teachings ...so obviously it applies to all three
What i don't understand is, didn't your god also say - do not kill .....do not judge ....and vengeance is mine ....? So WTF are you doing ignoring those three commandments and messing up with homos and non believers on your own ?
Everybody mind your own freaking business and let god take care of the sinners and non-believers or blasphemers or what have you.
is anybody gonna answer me or not ? Where are the bible thumpers .....who said you can pick and choose from god's teachings ?
Mr. India -
I consider myself an 'evolved' Christian. I was raised in a Christian home, with loving Christian parents who valued and followed the teaching of Jesus. And like them, when my sister 'came out', we didn't shun her, we didn't ban her from our homes, and we didn't tell her to get out. What we DID do was continue in our path as a family. One that would be incomplete without my sister in it. I guess my parents raised me right, because rather than JUDGE others, I accept them. Homosexuals and lesbians are God's children too. And, actually, my sister is more ardent in her Christianity than I am - and so is her partner (going on 20 years now). I consider myself blessed to have an older sister like I have. She is a role model and quite wonderful. I have carried that non-judgemental attitude into all areas of my life and refuse to judge someone solely by who they fall in love with. I am saddened, however, by the hard life g/l/tg have just because they live as they were born. It shouldn't be that way, but sometimes it is.
I hope you find more evolved Christians in your life - because we are out here. But our loud mouth hate filled brethren are usually heard first. But you know what? I don't judge them either - I just feel sorry for them.
Hugs! D
Dear diajamb ...you don't need to apologize to me on behalf of christians. I know very well how nice most christians are. I am not very religious but I am a born Hindu and my daughter goes to a chrsitian school. We have lots of chrsitian friends and my daughter attends the christian summer camps because i believe she gets the right kind of values there. My problem is with christians or rather all those religious people who claim to be following god's word but continue to ignore the most important teaching of god - To love and accept others and not judge them.
Yes, RELIGION gets in God's way some times, I think. The RELIGIOUS think the more 'rules' they make, the more God will love them and set them higher than those who don't follow the 'rules'. Jesus said above all things is Love. He didn't say RULES, he said LOVE. And Jesus didn't choose who he loved. He loved the harlots and the housewives...the beggars on the street and his diciples. In fact, Jesus said that He was HERE for the ones who needed Him most, not the ones who followed the RULES the best.
Because I AM a Christian, I DO believe that when I pass, my God will judge me on how much, how deeply and how truly I LOVED on this Earth. Not how well I followed the RULES made by man. God made love.
Christ said "If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15

you have a wonderful mind...
The problem is there is a difference between those who call themselves "Christians" and those who are truely "Christ-followers." I consider myself to be in the "Christ-follower"category, and try to live by two rules: Love God, and Love people. That means all people. Straight, Gay, Lesbian, Peaceful, Terrorists, Murderers, etc., etc... I may disagree with a lifestyle, any choice you make, or heck, even the haircut, clothes, tattoos, or piercings you have, but I am commanded to love you as I love myself. Period. No exceptions. No matter what you do, I am commanded to love you. I can tell you that I believe something you do is wrong, and show you why I believe that, as long as I do it out of love and concern for your well-being (be it mental, physical, or spiritual), not out of an effort to make you what I personally want you to be. What you do with that is up to you, and I still have to love you. If you're gay, fine, you're gay. I love you. Take the rest up with whatever God you believe in or your own heart. I can't say you're going to hell, or whatever, because I don't make those decisions. As I was taught, Jesus loves all people, and acepts us all as we are. Then after we accept Him, then if there is anything in our life that displeases Him, He will show us. Again, what you do with that is up to you. Bottom line - stop "bashing" everyone who doesn't measure up to your standards and remember that if you truely are a Christian you should have read or at least heard the verse by now "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God". Not some. All. We would all do well to remember that.

MrIndia,
Most of the bible thumpers today haven't responded to posts. They just make new ones and continue on their way. I don't think they actually read what anyone else is writting. There's been a few who take the time to respond, but by and large I think it's a "This is what I think, and it is not open for discussion" situation.

a mans sexuality isnt bound towards women but men, animals, children and various other things and has no bounds or limitations. Does that mean that we accept it the way it is? You have to guide your sexuality in the right direction you dont just go around screwing whatever you feel attracted to. If youre a muslim then isnt it according to your own religion that you have to marry a woman and arent allowed to even fornicate with someone you arent married to? In the past there was a severe punishment for such acts but in todays messed up world humans have chosen to lose their humanity in the name of human rights!
you really can't compare a man loving a man and having sex with him to (1)child molestation and (2)beastiality. 1 is illegal and 2 isn't even of the same species. Atleast gays have sex with their species, and its even better that two guys have the same body parts. And when gays have sex without marriage, yes it is immoral, but the law doesn't allow us to be moral. We're not just gonna never have sex. If a woman is unable to produce children is it immoral for her to have sex with her husband...no. They have sex because they're in love and they want to...so do gays.
To the so called "christians": science vs. religion...hmmm science seems to be winning the duel. So all you have left is abortion and homosexuality to attack. Poor christians.....afraid of the "homosexual agenda" . No doubt organized religion has done great things for the world (sarcasm) including but not limited to genocide.
And as for those who think homosexuality is a choice: you are foolish. No one in their right mind would choose the pain and alienation of the lifestyle (blatant and subtle).
Back to the christians: it is you that want to rule the world. Read your history. So for you christians to spout off against anyone that is not like you is natural. The gay community does not want your children, husbands, or wives; we want to be left alone and enjoy the freedom due to all Americans. We want to be able to leave our partners (in our death) what we have worked for all of our lives. We don't want our unforgiving and narrow minded families to come in and devastate the home that we made for ourselves and take what isn't theirs.
And we don't want to have our lives threatened by ignorant, gun wielding morons.
Peace.
You fool! By telling them what we want, you are revealing the big secret gay agenda! Although, the real agenda involves more muffins.
mmmmm....muffins!!
GREAT justsomeguy...how come nobody told me we lost the Toaster Oven to (now) some Muffins? I must have missed the last Gay Union meeting & failed to vote. ;) Note that when my sister's partner died & left behind a car w/an upside-down loan I told her to drop the keys in the bank's deposit box.--If they were married she'd have an excuse to continue payments (as she wanted to). I told her 'Screw 'em... they ASKED for this by denying you marriage or partnership rights. (I'm considering marrying a female just so SOMEbody can suck up those S.S. payments when I kick over).
Well, make sure you make the next meeting. Maybe we can argue that we need the toaster ovens to bake the muffins, and we can get it back in for you.
I feel for your sister's loss, but I agree, just giving the keys back was the right move. If they want us to be the bills, they need to grant us the rights.
I've thought about marrying a woman for the tax benefits, but "Will you be my tax shelter?" just doesn't have the right ring to it.
I applaud the guy in this story. He was lucky to have such accepting parents. Even with the religion, and the attitudes in that country, the overcame that to still love their child unconditionally. This is the way it should be. Parent's should not throw their children out, much less disown them. Nothing is wrong with them, they are the same as they have always been, just more honest with themselves and their family. I truly feel sorry for the people who have to live their life in the closet because they are surrounded by the bigoted bible beaters that spread their hate around. I pray one day they get the epiphany that I had of "If they can't accept me for who I am, then I don;t need them in my life". Why would anyone choose to live a lie to make others happy? Life is too freaking short to falsely live it secretly in pain. These "bible beating" hate filled bigots can not pass judgement. Only god will judge, and why would he create millions of people wrong? That's right, millions, as we are everywhere. Maybe even in your circle of family and friends. He created us this way, so we will be loved and accepted in his eyes, and anyone who passed judgement on, or bashed us will pay the price of a trip down to meet the devil for being so hateful in their lives.

I suppose the real debate is whether homosexuality is a choice. I agree acting upon it IS a choice, but simply the attraction to a person of the same sex is not. You hear all of these stories of young gay men wishing to be attracted to women instead of other men, and yet why is it that this strong wish is overcome by natural attraction? I was raised in a straight home, with a mother and a step-father in the house. There were no recruiters trying to lure me to have sex with a man. I did have sex with a woman, and other times turned it down as really I was not excited or interested. I was not attracted to them.
So then I ask, if I am naturally attracted to men, out of no decision of my own, why should I not then enjoy the pleasure of an intimate and meaningful relationship with another man? I was created and given these impulses by God, why should I then not act upon them as straight men are allowed to with women? Is it an abomination because people view gay men as only a sexual thing and the image of two men intimate with each other is disgusting or is it because the bible says so? If it is the first, well people also find the image of two unattractive heterosexual people disgusting and if it is the latter, the bible also lists a myriad of other things that humans have accepted as normal and NO LONGER an abomination, such as the polyester pants people wear.
Maybe homosexuality is natural way of curbing the rapidly growing virus of humans on the planet Earth. With the fast overpopulating of our planet, maybe homosexuality is God???s way of slowing it down. Until he comes to meet us, or we meet him I suppose we will never know.
So, in your mind, humans are a virus? You're a wacko. Get some professional help.
Think about it this way. We are the only species that is destroying the planet. We multiply without an end to the point that there will be too many of us. You don't find that to be virus like. I was using the analogy to show my basis of the requirment of control....by God
good example: The Catholic Church
But...Polyester is still in abomination, isn't it?
An abomination, not "in"...They really need to have an edit button on here.
Let me lay things out clearly from a Christian perspective. God created us to love Him and to glorify Him. God created us all perfect without any inclination to sin. But, he gave us the choice to sin or to obey (because true love and obedience cannot be coerced). Our ancestors chose disobedience. Since then, every human being except Christ has chosen disobedience/sin. We all have inclinations or proclivities toward certain types of sin, whether it be from genetic causes (our "fallen" nature) or from environmental factors or a combination of both. Some are more likely to be attracted to alcohol, or sex outside marriage, or homosexual acts (sins of the flesh). Some are more likely to be inclined to more "socially acceptable" sins such as pride, lust, anger, jealousy, or unrighteous hatred (sins of the heart). All sin is wrong and we all need Christ's offer of forgiveness.
Just as God asks those who have wrongful desires to drink, fornicate, lust, lie, cheat, and steal not to indulge in those desires, He also ask those with homosexual desires not to engage in them. However, just as those with desires to lie, cheat, and drink only have the power to suppress these desires (if even that much power), those with homosexual desires can only hope to suppress them (you obviously cannot just ???wish them away???). Fortunately, God created a way for us not only to be forgiven for our sinful acts and thoughts, but also a way to be freed from them! By trusting that Jesus was who He said He was (God) and did what He said He would do (purchased our salvation by taking our punishment for our sin on the cross), we not only get to have eternal life with Him in heaven, but also have freedom from sin on earth. God will not just suppress your desires for sin, but will eventually (and in some cases instantly) transform your desires into righteous and Godly ones, through the renewing and cleansing process of reading His word and allowing His Spirit to work.
P.S. ??? Unbelievers AND believers, please stop abusing Matthew 7:1, "Judge not that ye be not judged." Clearly, in context, the verse is teaching that those who refuse to confess and deal with their own sin, shouldn???t be telling others to deal with their sin. Many of the verses before and after this verse show Jesus telling people to exercise discernment and expose evil (publicly if necessary). Jesus is very concerned with people being set apart from sin so please don???t use this verse to pretend Jesus is telling people they should not ???judge??? what is right and what is wrong based on God???s holy standards. He is telling people to do the exact opposite. He is telling people to judge and expose what is evil/wrong, but after careful self-examination.
This is very disturbing to read. While I understand that the population of admitting homosexuals is growing, in my eyes it is still a sin. And to see a Muslim man have this perspective I am very hurt. According to Islam, Muslims were put on earth to worship God. It has nothing to do with me being ignorant or close-minded, I'm not either of those things. It is what it is. Homosexuality is a sin in my religion, Islam. And I will not accept this type of prefernce. We should respect humanity so I'm not saying this guy deserves a beat down but his ideas are very sad to read about.
You are wrong.
Muslims were put on earth as a very violent form of population control .....moron ...
but, going off of your screen name, you have a biased opinion in the matter of islam.... im sure you hate pakistan for your own reasons, but they too have those same kind of reasons as to why they hate india... both are redundant, shameful, un needed hate in the world.
I Don't pakistanis ....just the haters amongst them ....don't hate muslims ....just the jehadis amongst them .....
Why is his life...HIS LIFE, NOT YOURS...sad to read about? How does it affect you and I? It doesn't. If he is sinning, it is of no consequence to anyone but him. Many in the Christian faith have trouble grasping that concept as well. Free will. Remember that? We all walk our own path in life. No one can walk it for us, nor can we walk in anyone else's stead. Holding on to negativity, hatred, sadness or fear as a way of life is an empty existence. An old saying goes, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone". Every single one of us needs to put that rock down.
I, as a straight man AND an interfaith minister, am dismayed to read such religious misunderstanding and misinterpretation being used to support the fears and ignorance which separate us from each other. SOURCE (God, Allah, Most High, whatever the name) is far too complex for our limited minds to comprehend, so for anyone to begin to preach about what HE/SHE/IT has commanded is truly the height of arrogance, audacity and anthropomophism (the acscribing of human characteristics to something). Our concept of the Divine is just that, a CONCEPT, not a FACT. The Sacred Books of each Path are, at best, guidance from above that has been funnelled through and interpreted by 'channels' that have been programmed by the culture, events and personal hang-ups of their life experience. All life comes from SOURCE and all are expressions of the Divine. To those fundamentalists and zealots using religion to justify your aversion, look inside yourselves to find out why difference spurns such passionate reponses from you. Those truly comfortable and at peace with themselves have no reason judge another, and doing so is an indication of internal schisms and insecurities which should be addressed. This is not to imply that all 'homophobes' are gays-in-denial, but what is the true reason behind your rigidity and need for dogma? To those of the gay-community and all those different from the 'norm', while you may not have chosen your way of life, i applaud your souls for being willing to act as mirrors through which society can see its fears, ugliness, and need for conformity reflected back upon itself. Peace to all!!!
If there is a mental illness that permeates the world it would have to be large groups of people with the dogmatic belief in something intangible like a God. As far as I am concerned all religions are brainwashing cults used to control people. Last time I checked we all have the rights granted to us by the constitution not the bible or any other religious manuscript. So religious arguments are moot, basically just the opinions of people who hate others for living a life different from their own. If viewed impartially in a court of law homosexuals would have every right as heterosexuals, as granted by the constitution, but fear and bigotry are hard to overcome. All men are created equal.....
You DO know, don't you, when that phrase 'all men are created equal' it really meant ' all white, land owning MEN of a certain age are created equal'? The founding fathers were no less prejudiced than now.
True, but many choose to understand the words as written. Because we've evolved as a society (mostly) enough to realize the all people are created equal.
how sad that people judge those that they do not understand. That is how hate and predujice is perpetuated, by judging and condeming those that are different. Did not the whites subjagte and enslave the blacks claiming that because blacks were supposedly inferior they had a god given right to do so? And now is it going to be the same with the Latin Americans, the homosexuals, the minorites of society who are trying to survive day by day? Does it not say in the bible that you must remove the rafter for thine own eye before you try to refome the straw in your brother's eye?
Open each of us up and you will find no difference, all have the same organs, the same blood, the same gray matter, brothers in blood, shall we judge people soely on their looks? should we judge people soley on their biological sexual orientation? We as humanity are brothers and sisters, mothers, fathers, husbands, wifes, partners, all part of one humanity. Our differences are what make humanity a wonderful race, it is when poeple condem us for our difference when humanity becomes ugly... do you really want to perpetuate that ugliness in society?
People have no choice what race or color they are born. God made us all, but you are placing being gay along with what color we are. Sin is sin, and we are all born with it and must chose whether or not to participate in it. But also God looks at all sin the same. God made Adam and Eve not Eve & Eve or Adam & Adam. It does not matter what we think he made man & woman to reproduce other life. God said it was homasexuality is a sin, but he also said fornication, adultry, murder, gossip, gluttony, etc. Your right we as Christians or any others do not have the right to judge our brothers and sisters, only God can do that. But saying gayism is wrong is not judging the person its judging the sin along with taking drugs, excessive alcohol, fornication, adultry, etc. you get the pictures. Gays should not be targeted or hurt along with the same rights as all of us except when it crosses the line with the word of God. I have a neghbor that is gay and we are friends but he knows how I feel, but I don' t discriminate against him. He's doing no different than my grown kids that are living with their boyfriends & girlfriends. I ride their cases about what God thinks. You need to know racism is wrong, saying murder, homosexuality, and etc sin is wrong is the correct thing to do. But God didnot picket or hurt people he dined with them in love and His life's work won them over. Prayer helps alot, not critiszm
God Bless Debra
God made us ALL. YHWH - the ancient Hebrew transliteration of the Abrahamic God - means "I am what was, what is, and what will be."
I am a bisexual man - emphasis on the AM. I am as much a part of God-body as any other human that ever lived. We all are. We just need to see it.
You are in fact very resoundingly wonderful to hear IAMREDHAWK. Gay John Driscoll is like an Islam extremist, on the edge of being a terrorist... okay, the last part is probably taking it too far. However, Gay Driscoll probably does think about bombing hospital clinics or other non-Christian things like genecide to those who he fears. So if he thinks about it, as he clearly expresses in the hate of his postings, he's not too far from taking that step of being an extremist.
Thank you Charlie-Mike!
I am straight, but that does not mean that I look down on gays and lesbians. More power to them for being to true to themselves. Everyone has their right to be and do what they please, straight people are not judged or looked down upon when they make out and cause a pda scene, so why are homosexuals downgraded and threatened? In this day and age people should be more willing to accept what they do not know.
Does your logic include the rapist, the murderer and the robber who needs some cash that breaks into your house rapes your daughter and murders your wife as well. After all they have needs too!
Whoo! James Dobson has got to you good, hasn't he?
what a ridiculous argument. your comparing 2 consenting adults, men and women, to a psychotic sociopathic burlgar/murderer/rapist.
if you had even a hint of intelligence you can tell theres a difference between a homosexual and what you mention. when is the last time you heard about a homosexual breaking into your house, murdering eveyrone, and raping your little boy or girl? now compare that to how many times you hear of a heterosexual person breaking in and doing the same thing.
pedophilia, molesters, rapists, murderers.... its a totally different mindset, far removed from the passion of love and kindness and respect.
and i really cant beleive that you think "beastiality" is next in line for social acceptance. that is reserved for especially twisted people. that is true perversion. two 20-30 something men or women loving eachother in the privacy of their bedrooms is a stark difference.
stop acting like the sky is falling because people want to get married. they did the same thing to interracial couples throughout history, and still do...
Retard you're compairing apples to oranges. Jesus, its so sad how blindly and mindless most of you people are. And if this offends you good someone needs to offend you and hopefully help open up your eyes and mind.
My needs have no affect on your life, unlike the person in the scenario you just listed. Do you even think about what you type, or do you just spout whatever nonsense pops into your head?
