The only reason Compton is a little safer is because most of those lost souls, those child gangbangers from the 80s, they're all doing life in prison now. Also gangster rap, which was the theme music for gangbangers who were out set tripping and doing drive by shootings, that music has faded out. The crack cocaine wars are no longer raging either. Those were the ingredients that fueled the killings back in the 80s and 90s.

Bring that crap back and it's deja vu all over again.
