Is the glut of bad news getting you down? Not me. I've tapped into the growing number of outlets that produce nothing but positive stories—and I'm never going back.

Yeah!!! Thanks for sharing your great article on focusing on all of the great things that are happening instead of dwelling on the negative. I actually love to watch The Daily Show with Jon Stewart because I get a touch of news with some laughs thrown in! Maybe we'll get to interview YOU, Daniel Stone, for our little oasis of happiness at thehappyheadlines.com . Drop us a line so we can let even more people know about you! Our kids love to report on happy stuff happening around the planet.

I wholeheartedly agree! Thank you for your article and would love to actually interview YOU, Daniel Stone, for our own little happiness oasis that we've created at thehappyheadlines.com . You're the type of person that we try to spread the word about! Please keep looking for the good - there's a LOT out there!

"Good news", is like the right balance of H2O, and fertilizer for a plant. You water it...it grows strong, and healthy.

"Bad News", is like caustic poison sprinkled over a plant, and you can guess what those results would be...death.

If you feed the bad news to yourself and others, bad news continues to grow, and spread creating hoplessness. If you starve the bad news by not sharing it, it will die. Instead replace it with good news, and you will draw similar people to you like a magnet.

Too bad you don't live in North Dakota where people actually respect each other, watch out for each other, live within their means and know the meaning of hard work. I just lived there for 4 years and deeply miss the quality of life we enjoyed and the people we met. I've lived in CA, PA, Boston and now Virginia where people reach the lowest levels of humanity whether with road rage, murder and general disrespect of their nieghbors. Nothing even comes close to the grass-roots care, kindness and hard work of the people of North Dakota. Go there for good news and inspiration.

I have also stumbled across http://www.ConstructiveNews.com. I consider them the Anti-Drudge Report since Drudge is typically so negative, and CN is pretty positive...
