Peter Arnell told my daughter-in-law that he was going to break up her marriage when she went to work for him many years ago. And he did. She still works for him, In fact, when my son was helping her make a good first-hire impression on Peter, it was my son's designs she was presenting. I caught a glimpse of him going into an office one time and he sure was a tub of lard, but I think if what he says is true about only eating 3 things for 30 months, he should market it. People will do anything to lose weight. I've already filled my fridge with carrots and cauliflower.

I have worked with Peter Arnell in California on one of his many commercials or 'motion picture shorts,' as he likes to call them. He would be so splendid and very outgoing one day and the next very needy and demanding. I would have to have 3 bags of clemintines ready for him at all times. It was quite humorous and he is a good man. Honestly he is a great inventor and I look up to him in many ways. I would like to be as creative and driven as him. When something doesn't go right, he moves on the the next project, which is so true. He doens't let anything stop him from going on to the next thing. I haven't seen the new Tropicana bottles but I will take notice next time at the store. Peter Arnell may not a genious but he sure is a driven and inspirational person!

After reading this article I believe Tropicana is making a mistake by changing back to its old packaging. I believe that the brand Arnell proposed is a clean and natural look, it differentiates Tropicana from all the OJ, people see in the store. Also, being a marketing major in college and now a nanny to (5) children, the kids love the new look, because of the plastic orange spout cover. Tropicana should save their money, everyone knows we make buying decisions based on our children. Arnell may be eccentric, but he is also a marketing genus!

After reading this article I believe that Tropicana is making a mistake. I believe the brand look that Arnell proposed is clean and natural looking, I would also say that it helps differentiate Tropicana from all of the other O.J. As a marketing major in college and now a nanny to (5) children I think Tropicana should save their many and keep their "new" look. Three of the kids loved the look of O.J. and insist on buying it because of the plastic orange spout cover. As any person knows, kids make most of our decision on what products we buy. Arnell, genius yes, madman no!

This man is NOT a brand genius, more like brand egocentric maniac. He verbally and in some cases physically abuses his employees!!??? What? Then, his repsonse to waisting millions of dollars on his failed work-- "oh well" at least I got paid! Nice, considering that the company has had recent layoffs. If I were a company looking to hire him, I would RUN not walk the other direction. There are some great advertisement companies out there who treat their clients and employees amazingly, and who understand that the better a company performs (due in part to its advertising/marketing) the more people it can employ! That matters.

The guy has obvious talent and his employees must be take care of very well for some of them to continue to stay with him given the alleged aggresive behaivior. This article is a bit ironic to me because I am looking for some one to design my logo for GoNewTerra.com .... hmmmm I wonder if he is available? lol

Let me get this straight: you can run a company in the State of New York and actually hit your employees? And not get arrested? Sounds more like a Taliban cave to me.

Do his "big-time" clients know he makes his people cry? Are they insane as well? This is America, folks. We don't hit people in the workplace (at least in New York).

Having been in Corporate Marketing for 25 years I have a strong desire to tell Peter..."dude, it ain't all about you." His arrogance is exactly the type of attitude which gives agencies a bad rap. Ultimately however if anyone is to be blamed it is the Marketing Group at Tropicana...they missed the practical issues created by the new design as they were being sold on the award winning brilliance of the design.

Note to self: check in with consumers to ensure they can identify the "freaking" brand before launching the new packaging.
