    There are many child stars you failed to mention here that are no longer stars. It wolud be interesting to hear more. Angela Cartwright, Billy Mumy, the kids from 8 is enough Lassie, Punny Brewster, the kids from Cosby, Will Wheaton, many many more.

    Before "Taxi Driver", Jodie Foster was seen by millions on a regular basis, as the neighbour's child and playmate of Eddie in "The Courtship of Eddie's Father". It may be that taking a break from acting in order to attend university was the best decision that Foster ever made, in that it gave her time to mature and gave "Hollywood" time to forget that she had been a child performer and greet her a second time, but this time as an adult.

    What a great example for all kids, no matter what they've been doing in their lives.
