    trooper i dont know where you are from and if you are have ever been to pakistan. there is no such thing as you describe it. no one is toting nuclear weapons in their hand bags and neither are any clerics saying anything about terrorism.
    the ground reality is that the taliban , the clerics and 90% of the population have been shouting islamic law for 60 years. this country was built on the foundation that we want a country where the muslims can live according to the law of quran and the sunnah of Propher Muhammad (PBUH) sadly this dream was distorted from the very beggining by the west by their support for secularist leaders. now the ppl have come to this state after 60 years of sitting silently on the benches.
    all this country and its ppl want is 100% islam and it has no plans to do suicide bombings in london and nyc because that does serve any purpose in estb islamic law.
    but as robert fisk cleverly points out, whenever the west ridicules islam and comes in the way of letting ppl live the way they want there will be retaliations and suicide bombs.
    also the wests bias towards israel is a main factor, it remains quiet when israel bombs innocent civilians but if a muslim kills one jewish soldier its a war crime! unless the west eradicates this double standard muslims will always be there enemy and speaking of enemies the jews have been muslims enemies for 1400 years, they can never come to term with the fact the line of prophet hood was taken away from their race and given to the race of Muhammad (PBUH) so thats one religious battle they will fight till the day Jesus comes and kills their messiah. Sadly the christians are being decieved by the jews and they have started to believe that the messiah of the jews will be jesus so they help them. but this is not the truth. Jesus will come as a muslim and will follow the Quran and the ways of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
    usa and the west should just back off from islamic nations and deal with their own issues (which are a handful these days)
    iam amazed at the european and american tax payers, if the pakistani govt started to spend its country wealth in fighting someones else war there would have been a civil war of mega propotions... yet the west tax payers are kept busy with media tactics to fund a fictious war. its sad that your childrens future is being spent on something senseless like "war on terror"

In reality, ur friends, T-ban/AQ want to impose thier own version of islam, exporting it any means possible. Kill the INFIDEL, Allah says so, we must convert them, or kill them. Your "heroes" are a demented bunch, blaming the US, the West for YOUR problems. Ur hero OBL ordered an attack on the US [9/11] and now we are responding. Ur mortal enemy Israel, has every right to defend itself, and has done so, kicking ur azz every time YOUR people started. Israel is here to stay, get used to it. You are so blinded by religion it has turned you into an islamic automaton. Grab an AK and join ur friends. Put ur money where ur mouth is. Other than that, ur just another windbag spouting HATE, like ur religious leaders do at mosques, madrossa's. Good luck, you will NEVER have ur caliphate. Like Mao said "religion is the opium of the people" you swallowed that hook, line, and sinker. Jesus was JEWISH, not an arab, and is mentioned in the koran. Judaism is the oldest form of religion, you arabs jumped on the bandwagon around 600 AD. See ya soon...

    This happened in the 60's and was it reported in the News NO!

    From 14:03 until 14:10, the Israeli air assault unleashed hell, concentrating a coordinated strafing attack first of bombs, then of rockets, armor-piercing bullets, and napalm on the ship's communication antennas and crew. Basically these fighters exhausted all of their ordnance and ammunition on a ship they knew could not return fire before they left. (3) page 16 and (4). Israel later confirmed that multiple Mirage fighter-bombers and Dassault Mystyres swept-wing fighters were used, and this was confirmed from photographs taken by Liberty sailors. During the assault, the aircraft jammed all frequencies so the Liberty was only able to communicate during the short intervals when the Israeli rockets were in-flight, as the fighters had to switch off jamming temporarily. (1) page 36. Also during the assault, the American flag was shot away, but before the torpedo attack began, it was replaced with a larger 8x13 foot version. (3) page 19.

    Between 14:24 and 14:28, the three torpedo boats arrived in visual range and were reported as flying Israeli flags. (3) page 19 and (1) page 36.

    At 14:31, both the USS Liberty and the torpedo boats opened fire at each other. At least five (5) torpedoes were launched, and two (2) torpedoes made contact at about 14:35, and later mechanical analysis revealed one of the torpedoes hit in an area where a few meters in either direction would likely have broken the ship in half. Twenty-five (25) Americans working in the SIGINT section were killed instantly by this torpedo. Following the torpedoes, the Israeli boats raked the USS Liberty with cannon and machine-gun fire, shooting at any visible sailor above deck. At one point, the Israelis concentrated their fire on the boiler, trying to cause an explosion and sink the ship. The torpedo boats were later confirmed to be Ayah class motor torpedo boats, each carrying two (2) torpedoes, and (4) cannons. Before the ship was scrapped, there were 861 holes larger than a man's fist and thousands of 0.50 caliber machine gun holes. (3) pages 19-20, (2) pages 7-8, (1) page 37-38. Same as the fighter attack, basically the Israelis expended all of their ordnance and then just opened up with machine-guns, possibly to keep the sailors from activating a new radio line. They threw everything they had at the USS Liberty, trying to sink a defenseless vessel that they had confirmed to be American.

    Dont blame Bush, blame the dummies who have voted for these persons since Reagan-Bush. Still 56 million people voted for McCain, an affirmative action FU who crashed more US jets than any pilot in history. Those 56 votes represent the degree of insanity in this nation. Now we are in a serious war which most Americans are so clueless as to believe we are winning or can win. Pakistan will fall to Islamists in a matter of time which will probably start a nuclear war with India responding the way Ethiopia did in Somalia. Once Pakistan is down, Egyptian Islamists, which is the home of the Muslim Brotherhood will be emboldened to overthrow Mubarek.

    What the Dumb and Ignorant Neo-Fascist Christians and their Zionist Neo-con handlers don't understand is that the Islamists are convincing moderate Muslims, even Arabs, Persians, Turcks etc who may not be Muslim that their way of dealing with the West is the most effective. That the appeasers and secularist like Hussein and Arafat who were overthrown by STUPID Judeo-Christian American based foreign policy were ineffective.
    Understand, for all you dumb Americans who go by the title of 'Conservative' or the delusion of being 'Right' You overthrew secularists to allow Islamists to takeover Gaza, Iraq and now Pakistan is in their sights. This is your doing for being the proverbial Stupid American who disregards the reality of the world with your Disney fantasies. Hizbollah fought the IDF toe to toe and any stalemate for Arabs against Israel is a victory. Consider how ineffective secular Arab states have been against Israel.

    Islamists are going to point to victories over the Soviet Union and USA armed with only the Quran, cell phones, AK-47's, grenade launchers and roadside bombs. What a pathetic case for a so-called 'superpower.' Hope you realize this is a real war and yet you still don't want the Draft or to pay Taxes. What a pathetic bunch of clowns. Anyone who looks to Rush Limbaugh for advice is a total fool.

      LOVEDEEDEE, sadly, you are correct. Since Reagan the mid. class has been taking hits, and deregulation, union busting are Repuke policies. It took 8 yrs of the most disastrous US presidency in modern history to get to this place, it will take LONGER to get out of it. P-stan, during Bush-Musharraff, became the "new" safe haven, 157 camps built, while those 2 watched-and did NOTHING. The problem IS P-stan. The CINC should ramp up airstrikes there, since P-stani "soveriegnty" is a JOKE. Yemen is no where near dangerous, but contingencies should be drawn up. Kudos to you.

    This is part of a bigger movement, the islamic "crusade" thier aim to destroy the West, the US in particular. They want thier "caliphate" and not everyone realizes wat this encompasses. Europe, with a large moslem populace, is in danger of being overrun. Moslems of fighting age 18-40 will outnumber indig. European populations some time in the future. Thier aim is not assimilation, but ANNIHILATION. The French have moslems in thier army who refuse to fight other moslems. Is this a red flag? I KNOW it is. Moslems go to Europe, suck up thier social programs, and milk the states teet. They breed like cockroaches, and will outnumber natural Europeans. WAKE UP WEST!!! That PC attitude will be our downfall, as they march on, undeterred, preaching HATRED at mosques, thier clerics radicalized. We have been at war with islam for years, we just would-could not believe it. Well, after 9/11, its pretty clear. P-stan is on its way to a islamic theocracy-with nuclear weapons. Worst case scenario. Its gonna happen.

    Al Qaeeda is only a franchise to sell ' anti -American' ideology which has been picked up by many Islamic terrorist organisations around the world . The Taliban in Pakistan and terror outfits like the LET and JEM have out-grown
    Al Qaeeda . Al Qaeeda is valid as a generic term for terror organisations which have adopted tactics, and ideologue of their masters !

    Al;-Qaida is in every arab country and many western nation-Yemen is a terrorist state,they want hold them in jail and want take Yemen terrorist from America.I have no trust of Yemen or it's government,they have all kinds of terrorist in there country.This world of free countries are at war with muslims islamic terrorist-and the moderate arabs will not stand up to these terrorist-afraid they will be killed.

    As a Surviving Crew member of the USS COLE (DDG 67) the ship that was bombed while inside the port of Aden Yemen I applaud that is only took almost 9 years for the media to figure out that Al Qaeda is in Yemen. Why not ask a crew member who was there on the decks of the COLE about the tanks being pointed at the COLE from the sands of Yemen after the attack, and the Blue Mig???s that were buzzing the ship after the ???terrorist attack??????or in my eye the attack by the Yemen Government but of course that was only until the 1st battalion Marines and the FA18???s arrived (I forever salute you)???or why not ask about how the help brought in by the US Navy were being held at gun point for 3 hours on the tarmac of the ???airport??? in Aden not allowed to reach the ship treated as an enemy of the state???.in 1941 we went to war when our ships were attacked while sitting inport???in 2000 our President wagged his finger on TV and swore he would bring who did this to justice???.oh that is right the guys who helped plot the attack that killed 17 of my shipmates???well they served there time and are free men now???.why in the world would anyone be surprised that Al Qaeda is in Yemen.
