bkrummel...you are a moron. It is because I do not know it all that I would have to do proper research to find out fact from fiction. You're an idiot; and not a very good liar. If you were telling the truth, you would not have taken offense to my post. Nice try to cover your axe on this, but you failed to fool me or any free-thinking and logical person. You also still fail to provide factual information to back up your statements. It doesn't make for a very credible argument. Here is a non-partisan fact...Saddam Hussein and Iraq were not connected to Al-Qaeida. Another disturbing fact...waterboard torture has been illegal for years...Bush and Cheney knowingly chose to commit illegal interrogation practices when legal interrogation practices were readily available to use; isn't it strange how the right-wing loonigans and some blue-dog Dems are trying to give a nice word for illegal/criminal activity....the new word for these scheisters is "enhanced." So, according to these idiots, breaking the law is somehow "enhanced." So, bkrummel, when did you see and hear me and other fellow Democrats reacting to the terrorist threat....when???? I'm a free-thinking person myself...terrorism is a real threat, and all of the fellow Democrats who I know do not take it lightly. What angered many Americans...Democrats and Republicans...were all of the lies and cover-ups the Bush/Cheney regime tried to pull over on the American people. Their political affiliation didn't lose my trust...it was the lies and covering up their misdeeds...like illegal warrantless wiretapping, illegally eavesdropping into innocent Americans' e-mail accounts, illegal waterboarding...these reprehensible acts are not "enhanced"...they are illegal...cut the BS and get to the facts.

Well, I've personally seen people who believe that 9/11 was some U.S. government conspiracy. But most Democrats know full well that we were attacked before and on 9/11 but Muslim terrorists, so perhaps "dismiss" is the wrong word. Perhaps it is more accurate to say that the Democrats do not take the terrorist threat seriously enough.

Yes, George W. Bush and the Republicans did a poor job of managing the War on Terror. The Iraq War was entered into based on poor intelligence and a poor war plan. But over the last several years, I watched the Democrat response to terrorism and Bush's approach to fighting it. You voted to commit to the war in Iraq, but on the first sight of problems wanted "our troops home now". You repeatedly failed to offer and implement a serious alternative to the Bush strategies. You do somehow think that a lot of diplomacy with minimal military engagement will work against Muslim extremists, which is a ridiculous strategy. Not to say more diplomacy wasn't needed, as it was for winning hearts and minds of the people, getting allies, etc. Overall, you most complained about Bush and declared his strategy failed.

I know what you Democrats think first hand. I listened as you guys chanted "bring our troops home now". I listened as people the same age as me and our troops stated that they "don't support our troops". I listen as you ask Bush to be tried for "war crimes" for defending our country (even though some of his approach was questionable). Listening to Democrats talk, the primary motivate for getting our Iraq is so that you have more money to spend on Universal Health Care, etc.

I saw those towers go down. I have friends that were in the military. All I ask of my government is stop those Islamic extremists that attacked our country and give our troops every thing they need to do just that. But this seems to have been too much to ask for. Bush, with Republican following, was too busy acting like an idiot, gut-driven cowboy while the Democrats acted as pacifists. All you needed to do is seriously work together to defeat the Islamic extremists and you couldn't. Clearly for the Democrats the politics of hating Bush and pandering to the Pink People was more important.

"I would have to research this information and find out the facts before assuming this to be true."
Listen, I'm not just some idiot parroting Rush Limbaugh. I think for myself. I saw and listened to you guys reacting to the terrorism threat; I don't need to do indepth research to verify what I know. This is so typical: the Republicans act like a bunch of unthinking, anti-intellectual idiots while the Democrats act like a bunch of overly-intellectual know-it-alls. Meanwhile you both merely parrot your party's talking points. I'm sure glad I am now a registered Independent; Independents are the only ones with any real sense.

I personally do not know of any fellow Democrats who dismiss the threat of any kind of terrorism...this includes President Obama. All of the Democrats I know realize the threat...I am not sure where you found this information unless it was what he said/she said. I would have to research this information and find out the facts before assuming this to be true.
