    Salve my poor misled friends!

Just where do you get your ideas from? Upon what are you basing it? Some kind of group pressure? The blind leading the blind? This modern world is so sick. Infested with Monotheistic puritan idiots who have been totally brainwashed for centuries by Christian, Jewish and Moslem Bullshit. These fanatical , hypocritical and militant lunatics have all been wreaking havoc with their lunatic beliefs and claims for far too long. They are totally irrational, unnatural and un-Roman! About time you stupid Americans especially just knocked off this nonsense once and for all! You have no right to censor natural things. Time to get back to the good decent and sensible beliefs and standards of the antiquity before those guilty -complex sowing bastards and soul-destroying scum turn us all into nervous wrecks! I as a true Roman will always for example wear my phallus as a lucky charm and provider of strength and potency. The human body is beautiful! Everyone has one! Sex is natural, healthy and provides longevity and strengthens the immune system. Just get your brains de-programmed once and for all and kick the christians etc. in the ***! Or perhaps none of you ever have sex? Maybe you avoid seeing yourselves in the mirror? Is it nice being frightened of being human and part of nature? Do you like being given bad consciences? By whom? With what right? Ever asked yourselves that? Roman beliefs and religion are much more reasonable and logical as well as being more interesting and colourful. The Romans didn´t make up stupid and fantastic stories about their Gods and childishly ridiculous claims of miracles which simply don´t happen in the real world! One God for everything? Even the idea is totally absurd. Go back to your roots. Go back to nature.

    Vale!

Averius, you seem to have a tremendous amount of animosity. Are you intitled to your opinions? Certainly... my experience has shown me that those who respond in vehemence as you have usually have something that they are hiding from others or that they themselves are hiding from. What, may I ask, are you afraid of? Yes, America has her faults. That has not changed the fact that it is still the destination of choice for MANY. America remains a bastion of freedom in our world today. Is the human body beautiful? There is no doubt that it is. Our bodies are truly amazing tributes to our Lord Jesus Christ who created all of us (even you ;)) The beauty of our bodies and our sexuality are definitely to be enjoyed within the context of marriage. It should not be something that is there for the public to observe, nor is it something to be exploited for monetary gain. Based on your post, it is obvious that we will not agree on many things that I have stated, but if you desire to draw others to embrace your ideology you should consider fewer insults and more honest discussion. Be well and challenge yourself to really seek TRUTH.

Ah yes, the Facebook Nazis. I'd really like to meet the MySpace Nazis, tho, they took down a bunch of photos of my 4 year old boy topless swimming in the pool this past summer. Bathingsuit and all, but "oh, no, a 4 year old boy was topless! Oh, god, the pedophiles will have a field day!" Please!

  • Posted By: galvestontxus @ 05/04/2009 6:05:19 PM

I am so grateful that they are on the job. This is what makes the difference. Otherwise, Facebook would become another cesspool, like MySpace. Merci beaucoup. Bonsoir.

Way to go facebook! I think it's awesome! It's keeping our kids protected from the crap people try to put on public display. Hey- I 'm tired of seeing half-naked, drug using and alcohol drinking minors on facebook and all the other cyber places. It's a game to them. As a teacher and former Student Pastor, I happen to know that it's Actually a GAME to them - seeing who can post pictures like this on these sites and then betting on how long their photo will get to stay up. Get a grip people it's not about freedom of speech- this is about NOT encouraging minors to get into the porn cyber trap. It's also about having a "safe" place on-line where everyone can solicalize without fear of seeing child porn, or any other porn for that matter. And a last word to the adults who are complaining....according to stastics over half of those with facebook and myspace accounts are under the age of 18. I say..Bravo Facebook for doing something that protects the better half of it's users!

What a bunch of tools. Deleting photos of nipples so they can bring in more money from the church-going afraid of sex-except-for-procreation crowd.

I mean really, after electing Obama in large part thanks to Facebook, it's now worn out it's usefulness. I've had a Facebook for 5 years and just turned it off last week for good. They've caused far too many problems for this world and it's time for them to go away.

    • Posted By: Amatatomba @ 05/04/2009 6:01:40 PM

FaceBook or no FaceBook, Obama still would have been elected.

And this has nothing to do with them being afraid of offending conservative Christians. They don't want to become a trashy site filled with naked pictures. I'm sure a wide spectrum of people appreciate the fact that Facebook has the clean image it does in relation to social networking sites.

    • Posted By: Wolfgang69usa @ 05/04/2009 11:42:04 AM

Facebook singlehandely got Barak Obama elected? Crazy!

      • Posted By: omgthepatriots @ 05/04/2009 3:15:14 PM

Wow, did you even read what I wrote? In large part doesn't not equal SINGLEHANDEDLY. moron

I think there should be a way to censor and uncensor at the same time. If age is verifiable by any means then anyone over 18 should LEGALLY be able to post and view whatever they want. If Facebook made a selection option saying a certain photo was for 18 and over then they could claim unresponsible for any minors who purposefully lie and search adult content. Then there is another arguement.... what about exotic art? There was an art exhibit (festival) in Seattle last weekend. It was strictly "Exotic Art". Who decides what is porn and what is not?

    • Posted By: Amatatomba @ 05/04/2009 5:58:08 PM

They could do that. The site DeviantArt allows art to be flagged as Mature Content. Members can choose whether they want to view this art or not when browsing the site. If they choose not to, then they don't see it. But FaceBook doesn't want adult content on their site. That's their choice. It's not a right for people to be able to post naked pictures. So if FaceBook doesn't want to host that content and they deem it unacceptable as outlined in the terms you agree to when you join and their site rules, then that's their right.

I think that the rules are wonderful, but at times I think they go a little too far. Example, I had a picture of my then 6month old in the tub from the waste up and I was flagged for her "nipple" showing. I think that is going a little far!

    • Posted By: Danielj155 @ 05/04/2009 5:40:22 PM

Those kind of pictures is what pedophiles are after. Keep the bathroom private and sacred. No cameras.

      • Posted By: Amatatomba @ 05/04/2009 5:52:28 PM

It's not like you can't find hundreds of totally innocent pictures of babies in tubs on Google. So while I'm sure pedophiles might be attracted to that stuff, they're also attracted to things like children's clothing ads, which can be found in the Sunday paper. So it's a little extreme for FaceBook to remove a picture of a baby getting a bath. But I guess they stick to their rules no matter what the age of the person.

  • Posted By: Jaggyg @ 05/04/2009 5:50:44 PM

Ok one thing that i have to say is that if they find your pictureoffensive than why do they have to delete your whole profile? some people may have pictures or videos that they can never gwt back and then they are all gone!! which totaly sucks!! belive me? so why doesnt facebook myyearbbok and myspace just delete your pic instead of your whole profile?

  • Posted By: nuggz777 @ 05/04/2009 5:50:06 PM

this is all good n' said, yet when my facebook profile got hacked n' the password changed i tried reporting this to have that account terminated. i made a new one n' like i said reported my hacked one. i did not hear nething back from the developers. i still have that account floating out there n' would like it terminated. i dont kno what happens on that account n' would not like to be held responsible for ne wrong doings out of that account. so plz tell me. who do i talk to now to get this resolved. like i say, im ticked off. i had a friend who had a similar situation arise n' when she reported this the team sent her a temporary password so she could get back in. so tell me. who do i talk to?

  • Posted By: rick81180 @ 05/04/2009 5:49:46 PM

Get A life, just another way to break balls and over react over nothing i mean cmon removing a pic of a 6 month old? How stupid is that, anyone that wants to see nipples on the internet can easily access it anyway. since when is a shirtless man obscene? If you cant see the difference between a shirtless man and a women breastfeeding then you are just an ignorant ass. Little kids dont see shirtless men walking around and ask their parents what he is doing unlike the scene breastfeeding in public causes.

Privately owned social networking sites are brutal and medaeval. The not so subtle issue is ownership wherein Facebook has all the power and you and your friends have none. There is nothing even remotely resembling civil liberties on Facebook. Their "Terms of Service" and "policies" are irrelevant - because it is their website (not yours) they require no reason and can do as they please without your permission. They can and do arbitrarily remove content, such as the "World Naked Bike Ride: Toronto" group which is an annual family event to protest oil dependency. There were no exposed genitalia in the 2 totally friendly photos. And what's more, so what if there were? Why does Facebook get to decide what is "acceptable" and we the people who use it do not? I'll tell you why: it's Facebook's website, not ours. It is not your profile, it is Facebook's profile about you. Those aren't your friends, it's a Facebook sanitized version of them. On Facebook, everyone is a 2nd class citizen except for Facebook. It took centuries to reduce this kind of abuse and insult from the state - why go back to medieval times and expose ourselves to this kind of abuse on Facebook and the like? You wouldn't holiday in North Korea, so why spend time on Facebook?! Shut your Facebook!

    • Posted By: Amatatomba @ 05/04/2009 5:48:29 PM

People do get to determine what they believe is acceptable and what they don't think is acceptable, via the report feature. If people report something, then obviously someone doesn't find it acceptable. Then it's up to FaceBook to decide whether it actually is or isn't acceptable. If you had a club and let people join, but then people were doing inappropriate things, wouldn't you feel it was your right, as club founder, to kick them out or tell them to stop? FaceBook is owned by someone, it's not just something that exists naturally. Therefore the owners have the right to determine what things it wants on its site and rightfully so. They're doing what they think is in the best interest of their members. I don't even frequent FaceBook much, but saying that it's outrageous and a violation of your rights for them to remove your group or picture is ridiculous. You must just have some intense desire to "stick it to the man" but really all you're doing is complaining about a non-existent problem. Starting your own site is always an option. Then you can allow whoever you want. But don't complain about a violation of your liberties when in fact a company is just exercising its right to conduct business how it desires.

Facebook can be an entirely appropriate way to connect. I thank their censors for pulling down the "kick a redhead day" issue that might have found my daughter hurt... sadly a few others got it from the idiot who started the site. Like every "club" there are people who run them for the sake of the members. It's a business - not some liberal gift ... so I don't mind they make money. Their standards may not be yours, so please, exert your rights and quit .. or stay and enjoy while meeting their regs.

    • Posted By: bennyb14 @ 05/04/2009 5:15:41 PM

Use of Facebook is free and available to everyone. As such, it is the responsibility of facebook to maintain an atmosphere that is as friendly to all users as possible. They own the power because you do not pay for membership and because it is their server space and programming that you are using to create "your" page. If they wish to monitor and delete images, groups, or language that some might find offensive (and do since most deleted pics or words are reported by users) it is their right because you are essentially a non-paying tenant. It's the good old "as long as you live under my roof you'll follow my rules". If you don't like it, build your own site, or go elsewhere for your social interaction.

  • Posted By: opabs @ 05/04/2009 5:36:59 PM

You know, I have to agree with all the policies, it is due to the fact that some people don't understand that breast feeding exposes parts of the body deemed 'sexual', obviously, the male does not have huge breast to display, now, if their penis were showing, that would be a different story. Another thing, by deleting pictures with young children showing exposure, I find it appropriate to delete those; one thing most people don't thing about until its too late. There are people who are very twisted mentally, and those kind of pictures can easily provoke stalking and intention to commit crimes that normal people would not like to happen to them, their children, their siblings, or their friends. Don't just think about the personal freedom. Think about the policies and picture deletions as acts to deter people such as rapists, pedophiles from the site. Its not all just about purposely censoring things, its about the security of the users.

I agree with you for the most part but they show naked babys on tv with their bottoms sticking up in the air and their bare chests, that is "worse" than a picture of my 6 month old from the waste up.
