With Dr. Summers as an economic/financial gatekeeper this nation will forever be debt slaves to bankers. He would not dare allow anyone to inform the President that the way out of this financial morass is to follow Lincoln's playbook. Summers, Geithner, Bernanke, et al would be out of work and we'd have no need for an income tax, but yet have all the funding we needed to conduct the two wars, move to a green economy and much, much more all without the burden of debt.

No, Summers won't let anyone even suggest that the Fed is the problem since we have to "borrow" from it to make ends meet. Ergo doing away with the need to borrow our own money just might be something the President needs to hear as often as possible.

Unfortunately, me thinks he already knows but won't bite the hand that fed him millions to get elected.

Since we are so deeply in debt and scraping to find resources for the war effort can't the president during war time use war powers to eliminate the constraints to our acquiriing resources to win the wa? And, wouldn't those who hinder that effort with userious interest charges be guilty of aiding and comforting the enemy? Just wondering.

The words "smart" and "decision" should never be used in the same sentance when discussing Federal government policies.

Why are we sending more troops overseas when Obama ran his "bring the troops home" campaign and Nancy Pelosi seemed to be in pure ecstacy, Harry Reed said the war was lost a long time ago. WHY ARE WE STILL FIGHTING IN IRAQ.? WHO

Sounds like a surefire way to assure that the US never gets health care reform or an intelligent energy policy.

One of the best decisions Mr. Obama made with who would assist him to make the best of major issues impacting our country and the world, was tapping Joe Biden to be his VP. Biden is well-known for being straight forward in talk, and honest in opinion...never a yes man. I truly do not think he is capable of telling an untruth; how refreshing. Biden has extensive and mulit-layered talents developed over three decades of service to our nation as a Senator and Chair of the powerful Senate Judiciary and Senate Foreign Affairs committees. The VP has traveled extensively and developed the trust and respect of both foreign leaders and domestic leadership. Combine his vast knowledge of persons, the world and politics with downright unapologetic honesty and integrity, and President Obama will always have a close advisor who will help him make the best choices for the American people. Joe loves the American people.
