There is a global awareness now on the need to fix the world & how to fix Islam - but darkness prevails on the best method - a solution that is simple and sure will evolve from here. Sounds far fetched & too optimistic ? There is real human suffering going on right now in Pakistan, just as there are people here in the USA who are losing their homes, but not because a guy with a rocket propelled grenade is going up and down their blocks shooting whoever they feel like. I've read all you comments and what I read is teeny tiny egos yearning to be heard by being less human than you are, more callous than you are, and more scared by governments around the world than you care to admit. The creation of Pakistan was a mistake because religion makes for a very weak foundation for a nation. Having said that, Pakistan will only win against its home-grown militants when the vast majority of secular-minded Pakistanis as well as their military establishment finally realize that their real enemy is not outside their border-ie: India-but rather the within their border! The military's single-minded fixation on looking at India as their only enemy is a mistake that may end up costing the Pakistanis their nation!

The massive military action by the Pakistan armed forces is shameful and could have been avoided if Asif Ali Zardari had enough wisdom to avoid it but he wanted American dollars in aid so that he could hide away his government's abject failure in handling Pakistan's crippling economy as well as financial, internal security and political problems.

Now that Asif Ali Zardari has made Americans happy with this military action resulting in hundreds of thousands poor Swatis leaving their homes, farms and land and God knows when they would be able to return ever again; the rich, wealthy, waderas, zamidars and corrupt politicians with billions of dollars tucked away in foreign banks would be able to grab this most beautiful part of the world for cheap cents and pence.

And, how many Taliban will Pakistanis army would able to kill? I should imagine not many because a lot of them would have already fled the area and spread across the country to create more trouble, violence and terror in Pakistan. This military action was taken to please and oblige the Americans in return for the dollars in aid that President Zardari begged to be given but the American dollars and cents will not end this crisis. The American knew it very well that the military action will further destabilize Pakistan and that has been the long planning of USA, Israel and India: break up Pakistan into section so it would be easier for them to control and manipulate the region. The Americans want to control Baluchistan region for its strategic importance and also, the whole region is rich in natural resources. USA and Indians stand to gain from fragmentized Pakistan and President Zardari and PPP are making it easier for them to achieve this long term objective.
