Sounds far fetched & too optimistic ? the U.s and other governments are in Afghanistan for their own benefit, not for some great ideal but rather to minimize security risks to their own nations, as well as for other reasons. Pakistan must ensure its own survival, not for the the U.S or any other nation but ratyher for its own population. The U.S will walk away as before and the mess will be left for Pakistan to clear.

Why is it that India has over 8 'Cultural Centres' in Afghanistan, and all of them in close proximity to Pakistan?

If Pakistan has really woke up and realise that Terrorism is the real enemy and not India then that si the best thing to happenf or entire south Asia in general and Pakistan in specific. Pakistan was using Terrorism as tool againest its neighbours. Now it is victim of its own creation. It is sad but expected by every one in the world. We are still hearing news about portions of military and ISI are aiding the Terrorists. Unless Pakistan shed all these links and ffight unitedly againest terrorism, nothing is goingt o change.

Regarding hierocracy of Pakistani, Army and ISI, let me tell you one thing read your constitution first..
According to Article 6 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan
"Any person or persons who commit the act of mutiny against the parliament, judiciary and/or the elected members and officials of parliament is/are guilty of committing the highest treason. This person or persons committing such an act must be charged and prosecuted in the court of law and sentenced to death if found guilty"
Article 243.1 of the constitution of Pakistan states that 'The Federal Government shall have control and command of the Armed Forces' and when a person is commissioned as a member of the Armed Forces, takes the following oath
"I ------, do solemnly swear that I will bear true faith and allegiance to Pakistan and uphold the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan which embodies the will of the people, that I will not engage myself in any political activities whatsoever and that I will honestly and faithfully serve Pakistan Army (or Navy or Air Force) as required by and under the law."
In the last six decades Pakistan Army under the command of Fascist Generals has betrayed the nation four times by defying their oath and constitution. Moreover these fascist Generals used their political influence and transformed military into an organised crime syndicate and a business mafia. This organisation is the biggest stake holder and stock holder in every big business of Pakistan. They have biggest share in Pakistan???s stock exchange, operate commercial bank, airline, steel, cement, telecom, petroleum and energy, education, sports, health care and even grocery shops chains and bakeries. In short their monopoly is present in every sector of Pakistan???s economy. On the contrary their performance at their profession is nil. Pakistan army being ranked as the seventh biggest army in the world has not conquered a single inch in fact it has only brought embarrassment to the nation in the battle fields of Kargil and Dhaka .
Before Barking at India and wasting your energy, Please save that energy to stood up for your own right in your own country.

I realized that half of Pakistani is now suffering from Mental disorder ,Name a few after 71 War ,they are suffering from Postpartum - Depressive Disorder,Gunfiring Behavior , Impulse Control Disorders, Mental Retardation - Multiple Personality Disorder, Schizophrenia . This is classic case for any psychiatric to research mental disorder for whole of Population, I also Urged to all Pharmaceuticals company to send PROZAC in bulk to Pakistan to treat this mental patients. Of course free of charge, our tax payer money. I am very serious about this, someone has to take this project and find out what is going on with this GUN trotting population?

Fareed Zakaria and the world must realise the FACT that Pakistan HAS won 2/3 CONVENTIONAL WARS AGAINST India namely the 1947 and 1965 wars. Throughout India's history, even before partition. India has been overrun by several major powers i,e. Moguls, British and accepted their rule. Which war has India won? It could not even win against China. Indian Army's morale is next to nothing. Look at the state of the Indian army, that during Kargil crisis 500 Mujahideen (or Freedom Fighters) fought and stood up against 800,000 indian troops (second larget army in the world) in Indian Occupied Kashmir for nearly 6 months - is this some kind of joke. This reminds me of Spartan history. Indian Army was not even able to locate the supply lines. Oh, fourth largest airforce - useless airforce if they could not take out 500 Freedom fighters.
