I'm still on board, and I'm a 29-year-old politically aware voter. I'd love to see a new coalition of young people rebuilding the country.

Hmmm, didn't newsweek just run an article about how millenials and other young people are actually the most spoiled and narcissistic generation yet? And this is the demographic that President Obama won most resoundingly, he must be so proud. As an 18 year old Republican I can not begin to fathom the ignorance that led these young people to vote for such an un-substantive and pseudo-intellectual candidate.

good for you, you're one of the 23% that have the stones to admit that they are a republican. get out while you can.

First off, Obama is 5 times better that the last president we had, however he would have to had a lobotomy to compete with Bush's incompitences.

That having been said I find it difficult to relate to anyone that feels Obama's political moves are beyond reproach. He has already made some world class errors that could easily been foreseen and avoided. The purposefull disreguard of a clear majority's distaste for big business bailouts and even the backing of the automakers with the obvious potential for what has already come to pass with the chrysler (foreign owned) 7 billion dollar flush. He certainly seems to believe that the American taxpayer is in step with rewarding afganistan and pakistan with not only attempting to avoid civilian casualties but the absurd plan to spend our money helping to develop economic answers for those aiders of terrorism. At this moment we have more American military boots on the ground in war zones than when the idiot in chief G.W. was misusing the office, and Obama has yet to realize that the great majority of Americans do not wish in any way to aid in the including of illegal immigrants to the already over generous gifting of services that he plans for American citizens.
Why does a democratic party member not understand the concept of majority rule? Does the idea that public officials are simply just hired employees and that their job is as simple as doing the will of the majority and that no big business could actually represent 10% of the population just fly over thier heads?

I am still happy that I voted for Obama, but I wish he would choose America as project #1, not "when, or if I get around to it"!

This reminds me of the time of the Baby Boomers of the 1960's coming of age. It is about time that young people started paying attention and find a cause, external to consumerism, that they can get behind. The natural charisma of Barack Obama has them thinking. That is his most important contribution. Whether or not they remain staunchly supporters of the Democratic Party platform, they are now engaged!

There are young Republican voters. They rallied around RON PAUL, the guy who was not allowed to speak at the convention or participate in debates. Point gun at foot, shoot, reload, repeat.

Democracy still works in mysterious ways, its healing to perform.
