  I don't think she will be impeached. However, publicly telling the world that the CIA is a bunch of liars is an extremely serious (and stupid) allegation, and that's why she's in such deep water. Trust me, the CIA has the power to destroy Pelosi, and her colleges including Leon Panetta know it. That's why he left her a semi-out in his statement, but she was simply too stupid or stubborn to pick up on it. Look for this to fester in the coming days.
  
  One last thought... even Bush wasn't "In like Flint" with the CIA. His administration made several erroneous allegations which they shouldn't have. After getting his butt kicked he said, (and I quote) "We brought a knife to a gun fight."
  
  The CIA isn't anyone to jack with, and whatever happens, it doesn't look good for Nancy bin-Pelosi.

      JustRay, "In Like Flynn" was a quote from the 40's regarding flamboyant actor Erroll Flynn. You wouldn't understand this, but It referred to one being quick, successful, sexual and highly romantic. The quote had nothing to do with being president or government agencies. "In Like Flint" involved both, which is why I used the metaphor.

Granted the folks there at your nursing home might understand your 'metaphor', but the under 60 crowd doesn't get your joke grandpa. FYI, given this is a message board and Newsweek is a magazine it's not all that hard to figure out what's on topic and what is not. Most of us are sick of all the off topic chatter. Your silly back and forth pushes recent posts off the top of the stack. After all most of us come here to talk about politics, not to watch you two hook up. What kind of people come to Newsweek to get a date anyway? Probably the ones that have to sneak up on the water fountain. You two are pathetic.
            
            And being rude doesn't equate to "a foot up your ass faster than anything else." In other words, keep trying old man.                 I beg your pardon, it most certainly is my business. Your silly back and forth pushes on topic discussions off the top of the stack. Anyone that is trying to follow a discussion is simply out of luck once you show up. I do remember you, if 1/5 of your posts are on the topic of the article you're lucky. Most the time since it's this silly back and forth lonely hearts club crap. And I've complained as have others. And don't say other people haven't called you on it. I remember several times last year when you were going back and forth with an ex boy friend or husband. I forget the exact nature of the relationship, but several of us complained and asked you to stop.
                
                As for being new here, I've been off and on with different names (always some variant of Ray though) mainly because I'd lose the password or bought a new PC or got fed up with the off topic crap and left for a while. The last time I left there was a fight that took over the article and then spilled over into other articles and you were right in the middle of it.

It wasn't the big deal you are making it to be. Our posts in that incident back then did not take up entire threads and again, I'm surprised you don't seem to be bothered with the hateful, racist and offensive comments posted here on NW then and now. In any case, we all apologized to one another and to anyone else who was there, but you knew that since you say you were witness to it all. 3)You are here because you are now exposing me? I left you posts to explain this and other things, and you never replied to them. Because you ignored my posts to you, I assume you had moved on. Now you come here and accuse me of being two faced and hateful. You say I have no friends. I know this is all out of anger but if hurting and humiliating me is what you intended, you succeeded at it. I want you to know that me and a friend of mine who also posts here, spent hours trying to find you with the bit of info you had given me. Nothing, not even that place you go to in LA that you told me about. I spent days looking at pics in Yearbooks trying to find someone with your name.         Hello Pallisor! I have heard of this "in like flint." Never heard of "In like Flynn." Errol Flynn resembles the actor from Gone With the Wind who wanted Scarlett. Sorry, I forget his name.

          Hi there Pia. I've missed your posts several times... I'm trying to catch up with them. In Like Flint was a campy James Bond knock off, sort like the Matt Helm movies with Dean Martin. All of them made in the late sixties and seventies. I saw a bunch of them in my early teens at the drive-ins.

            Hi Bay...good to read you. How are you? I missed your posts too. I just finished a late dinner and logged on to do some reading. NW is def. addictive for me..I rarely watch tv and I have a huge 60 inch going to waste. I had no idea what I was getting into when I signed up on NW a year and a half ago.

      IMO, the worst I think will happen is that she will have to step down. The CIA will begin to leak information that Pelosi is a liar, and when the heat's up she will make some sort of conciliatory statement to save herself. If she's lucky, she will serve out her term as Speaker. We'll see what happens.

          It's unlikely she will step down without documented proof that she has lied about the briefing. If that happens, she must go and California should vote her out when her term is up. Steny Hoyer, from Maryland would almost certainly get the speaker's job. Steny lost a close battle with Pelosi in 06 for Speaker. Steny is now the Majority House Leader and a bulldog compared to either Pelosi or Bonner. When he gets pissed, they all run for cover. Pelosi's removal would not have any effect on the party. The GOP would be better off if this goes away. While Steele is trying to get air time to regroup, the questions put to him and Gingrich are about Pelosi. Their answers are comong off as mean and while the hate base is happy to see it most are seeing the same ole, same ole.
