Too bad the geniuses did not have the SOLUTION on September 11, 2001.

Like saying the Titanic almost made it so we should salute the captain for getting the ship all the way to the iceberg... and many of the passengers survived!!!
So what part of that ain't heroic??

Perhaps we should, once and for all, greet Bush/Cheney/Rove Inc. as liberators!

Give them a damn parade and then put 'em in deep security at an undisclosed location.

Or, more to the point, maybe it is time the boys came to Jesus in an old fashioned baptismal service. Amen!

'Shall we gather at the river?"

"Dick Cheney should just give up."
    Agreed.

"We're in 2009 in the age of Obama that is filled with vibrancy and american renewal and engagement with the rest of the global community."
Age of Obama? Obama is still working on fixing the economy and we are still in a recession. My friends still have trouble finding jobs and areas like Elkhart are still bad off. This vibrancy and renewal has yet to come. Not to mention the proposals for this vibrancy and renewal rely on massive spending and we have yet to address how we will afford this spending. I'll give you that Obama has engaged the international community well so far. Obama has only been president for a few months and it is way to early to say that we are in the Age of Obama.

"The GOP must reinvent and allow more energetic and proactive and chaming people like Sarah Palin or Bobby Jindal set the pace and leave these political dinasaurs."
I agree that the GOP must reinvent and needs better leadership. But Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal? Same Palin who had those embarrassing interviews? I don't think these two are ready for the national stage. More importantly, they are Far Right nuts who I really don't want representing a major political party. I think the Republicans need someone with intellect and a good understanding of national policy in addition to charisma and Palin and Jindal just don't work for that.
