Well, she is first, and formost a Democrat. So she will leap through every hoop they shake at her.
All for the benefit of Democrats, of course. Emboldening the "hispanic" voting bloc is a scam being put over on us by your friendly neighborhood democrats. I am appalled at the inference of spanish wordings of anything American. Political cartoons abound with it, and Im sure it is in jest, but where will "ethnic" empowerment end? Will there be an islamic justice next?
An asian? How abiout a monkey? They all will corrupt the constitution in some way to favor their own kind.

      Is comparing Hispanics to monkeys?

Qualifications being equal or better of course, this is the slot for an Hispanic female. Just as with Thomas and Ginsburg, it's the only way to have the court reflect the makeup of the population it administers jurisprudence to --- found a cool site; Balkingpoints ; incredible satellite view of earth

Seems to me that paying higher taxes IS in the public's interest, so the real question is, were the people of New London, Conn. justly compensated? If so, I don't see a constitutional violation.

And as long as ALL issue groups are equally prevented from funding election speech, and no one group is singled out or given undue advantage, I don't see a constitutional violation, either.

And let's face it - who wants to hear all those tiresome political commercials in the middle of the MLB Playoffs or the World Series? You know - the national past-time we enjoy every year, thanks to an injunction that ended the baseball strike? Sotomayor got it right, by the way - it wasn't about management or labor, it was about the fans.

    Now - THAT'S empathy.

Stop rationalizing the shredding of the Constitution. You are like a frog in a pot of water that is slowly getting boiled. "Oh, I don't see a violation in temperature here."

Which particular portion of the constitution concerns you in this case?

Why did george will attempt to decieve the reader about the substance of his article. is it because George will is about as current as the Blue suede shoe? why not just say he has two questions that should be asked concerning Sotomajor? Simple, no one other that a member of the Grand O L D Party would read it.

yesterday on the talking heads shows, Senators McConnel and Sessions has the exact same answer to the question of whether thay agreed with Limbaugh and newty. Both said they have their right to their own opinions but would not use the Race card. In other words how to we try to keep what little of the Hispanic vote we do have and keep from alienating our illustrious leaders. A few weeks ago the Republicans were attacking Sen. Specter for jumping ship because he wouldn't win as a Republican. here we have nearly all of the Republican senators pandering to Rush and Newt and to the Hispanic Voter.

All the while the lower class faction of the GOP is screaming racist and "Go Home ***".

During her tenure on the District Court, she presided over roughly 450 cases. One case in particular involved a matter of enormous concern to many Americans, including me: the baseball strike of 1994-1995. (Laughter.) In a decision that reportedly took her just 15 minutes to announce, a swiftness much appreciated by baseball fans everywhere -- (laughter) -- she issued an injunction that helped end the strike. Some say that Judge Sotomayor saved baseball. (Applause.)

This is a direct quote from Obama's speech. He DID NOT say Sotomayor saved baseball. Lighten UP

So then you agree with George Will. You lighten up.

A tax based more on the value of the land and less on the value of the improvement on the land would help get rid of blight. And as for baseball, if they really wanted to improve how competitive teams are they would add a few more franchises, but instead of adding them to the biggest of the markets that are too small to have a team they'd add them to the biggest markets. The Yankees and the Mets share a huge market. Years ago NYC had 3 teams. If you look at it by population it could probably support 4 or 5, but the teams have veto rights every time new franchises are added. Can you imagine if a pizza parlor could veto any new pizza shops from opening up near them?
