Why do liberals hate America? I recommend waterboarding every liberal necessary to get to the bottom of this important question. If you really want to know why the CIA is reluctant to share classified information with Congress, research "Leaky Leahy" and desist from the naive questions. You just make yourself look stupid.

GET A GRIP DOLORES! What do you think our men and women in the military who are protecting your sorry ass feel like right now? LIKE CRAP. The last email from my bro in Iraq? Morale at an ALL TIME low. The evil and hatred that you think manufactured is real; they feel it every time a bomb explodes. These soldiers feel forgetten, lost, abaondoned by the bleeding heart liberals. THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE! Idiots; are you going to spit on them when they get home; like you did the Nam vets

    • Posted By: Vigilance @ 06/01/2009 11:58:24 AM

No, I as a progressive have nothing but respect for our soldiers serving and risking their lives in dangerous foreign lands. As a matter of fact, I sent a phone card a few years ago through a charity so soldiers serving in Iraq could call home.

The people at home who spit hate at liberalism, continue to send our troops into danger for reasons that I can't see and don't agree with, and give every indication they'd prefer to invade Los Angeles right after Baghdad if given the chance - well, I try not to spit on them as well.

FWI Progressives are what the Communists changed their name to in the 50's to sound less un-American

Looks like it worked. They're in power.

          • Posted By: Louie Armstrong @ 07/12/2009 11:15:18 PM

So you admit to being a communist, huh? This your first attempt at honesty?

Why is it so hard for tany spy agency to disclos its programs to our elected officials?

They do work for our government and our elected officials are the voters representatives. Yes?

Does the CIA control our government or does our government(the Congress)control the CIA. IF the CIA refuses to report to the Congress, cut their budget.

Only God knows what abuses the CIA, the NSA and the FBI are hiding. When we get to the point where we as a people cannot trust our public agencies not to break the law we are in real danger of losing our freedoms.

    This must be investigated
    IN PUBLIC CONGRESSIONAL COMMISSION HEARINGS
and all violations of law and abuses of power prosecuted.
Keep the pressure on the Democrats to investigate and Prosecute.

The article states: "...veteran spies worried that it would chill brainstorming between field agents and their controllers."

Tough. If they HAD FOLLOWED THE LAW, TREATIES, AND THE CONSTITUTION, this problem would not exist.

In my opinion, EVERYBODY who authorized, committed, or supported or directed the application of TORTURE, from the President to agents in the field, should be investigated, charged where appropriate, and tried.

It is very difficult to believe they did not know it was illegal and a violation of treaties which the US signed.

As a concerned Canadian I'd like to know who is in charge down there. Is it the elected President, Congress & Senate, or is it, the CIA, FBI & U.S. Armed Foces? If the elected leaders cannot see everything, then how can they make informed choices?

    Thx

    • Posted By: George Dorn @ 06/01/2009 6:54:01 PM

Nobody is in control down here. Everyone's in the club car, nobody's driving the train.

  • Posted By: eagle275 @ 05/31/2009 8:19:03 PM

Al-Qaeda doesn't argue about torture; they just go ahead and saw your head off.

    • Posted By: George Dorn @ 06/01/2009 6:53:06 PM

And you want to be just like them, right? Move to Pakistan.

    • Posted By: j_oshcannon @ 05/31/2009 10:11:35 PM

That's what makes them TERRORISTS smart one.

      • Posted By: nails @ 06/01/2009 2:39:08 AM

Right, so let the USA become a clone of Al Qaeda. Hey Muslim extremists, you think you know how to torture? We'll show you how it's really done.

Here's where you start. Take copies of the US Constitution, roll them up and use them to sodomize our enemies.

If only getting the CIA disclose their coverup regarding the truth about aliens visiting Earth...

    • Posted By: olderwiser @ 05/31/2009 9:53:30 PM

Yeah, rumor has it that the aliens took one look and said that this globe is unfit for civilized aliens to inhabit. They just saucered away and we'll never see them again.

      • Posted By: nails @ 06/01/2009 2:40:12 AM

I hate those aliens anyway. They all think their smarter than us.

        • Posted By: George Dorn @ 06/01/2009 6:52:35 PM

Then how come they keep crashing? Hell, WE can build spaceships that crash.

I am not with the CIA or involved in any intelligence agency. However, I do know that gathering effective intelligence is critical to the survival of this nation. CIA agent often work in dangerous countries and associate with people whom most would not want to know. They put their lives on the line every day in the service of this country. For someone who sits behind a desk safe and sound from the day to day danger that these people face to openly state that there are other ways to access sensitive data is the callouse. Before telling them how to do their job, I recommend you stand in their shoes for one year, then you can come back and talk with authority. Until then please no Monday quaterbacking.

You cannot save the constitution by destroying it.

  • Posted By: brydges @ 06/01/2009 9:10:08 AM

I love how the bleeding hearts use the constitution to defend the rights of these animals and weeken the C.I.A.
But when it comes to rights of U.S. citizens the constitution is an invalid piece of paper if it does not support a socialist agenda

    • Posted By: George Dorn @ 06/01/2009 6:51:15 PM

Your disdain for the constitution is apparent.

This country should not be held hostage or even blackmailed by the same organization thats sworn to protect it. Dick Cheney and his organization of law breakers are committed to withholding the truth concerning what happened relative to torture and events leading up to and during the war in Iraq. He made sure his plan of continued deceit/cover-up was in place before he left office. It is paramount, the Obama administration must began systematic removal of the top ranking decision makers within the Clandestine/Undercover divisions of the CIA. There is no doubt many of these individuals still are in contact with and have direct influence from Cheney. These individuals in the CIA are the same who tried to smear Speaker Nancy Pelosi, saying she was briefed concerning the torture program, knowing no one in the briefings were allowed to take notes and that only the CIA could make written comments. The only agents whose morale may be affected are the law breakers who may be in legal jeopardy. The Obama Administration will never be able to implement their foreign policy changes if they do not weed-out all of the Bush/Cheney appointees in the CIA, State Dept. and Justice Department. This vetting MUST be done quickly as possible.

I am glad that God has such high regard for the United States, and He must still believe our democracy will continued. If not the United States Senate and House of Represenatives would have destroyed it along ago. That being said, it seems there are other more important matters that congressional meetings could be dealing with instead of how foreign terrorists and detainees are being treated.

So you're saying God doesn't care how we treat other human beings as long as it's in the name of protecting our constitution?

Unfortunately, due to the serious work performed by the previous administration in doing their best to entirely destroy the American economy, I am now making 60% od what I was one year ago (was making $75,000, now making $45,000) so I can't afford to adopt anybody. It takes about everything I make just to pay the mortgage. But I am a veteran and I will support the troops a hell of a lot better than the Shrub did simply by not doing anything to them. He supported them by cutting their pay and benefits. Send a list of everything the troops need to Rumsfeld.

If you have access to a piece on 60 minutes last night regarding the advancment of these monsters and the increase of their power; you will find that they bombed several girls' schools. Yes, women are not to be seen, heard or educated. These same monsters are at Gitmo. Dolores and all "progressives", must we go back to burning bras for equal rights for woman. Why dont you do something to help these young girls. The same 12-15 year olds that were being raped and branded by Sadaams sons

Obama has a 73% approval rating among Middle East Muslims, just behind Hugo Chavez
    - go figure I guess he just isn't enough of a socialist anti-american to compete with Chavez, Some more "Hope and Change" should take care of that

  • Posted By: brydges @ 06/01/2009 11:11:21 AM

Dolores- after you read the excellent comment by Still Free think about what I said. Why do you chose this battle to fight for the animals at Gitmo, and not the seizure of private business and generational theft. I believe Amerca has done man things wrong in the past, but protecting your family and mine is not one of them. ur solidiers and Intelligence community should not feel like second class citizens compared to the leftist elite and terrorists
