A new site allows your friends to meddle in your dating life. What a horrifying idea.

I don't agree with the article at all. Then again, I've always felt that the two people should know each other pretty well before they start dating, anyway. In other words, he should be a close enough friend that he already knows about your sangria-induced water ballet, BEFORE anything romantic happens between the two of you. (And of course, you should know equivalent details about him.) This way, you can examine him for "deal-breakers" before the romantic relationship even happens. If he's a drug user, a mama's boy, irresponsible with money, mentally unstable, a whiner, or whatever your deal breakers are, you'll know better than to pursue a romance with this guy. Saves a lot of time and trouble all the way around.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! wonderful way with words you have and I agree look I don't invite my friends into my bedroom
so I do not want them in my relationships either. Freinds should be there to listen and vent to as well as for support not to dictate to me how to run my love life I don't do it to them they WILL NOT do it to me.Anyone who does this must like trouble cause that is all you will get.

I've been using the internet since before the World Wide Web existed. I swear the internet has mad young people stupider, not smarter. They have access to lots of facts, but they are unable to do anything useful with them.

Another dumb idea that the kids have thought up. I know I???m considered antiquated (I???m 55) but I cant seem to get past this new the kids are always right mentality. If I need someone to assist me in finding a mate I have mush more serious issues than being lonely. I am yet to understand why we adults latch on to the ideas of a group of people who, for the most part, have no idea what the hell they are doing.

Follow them if it makes you happy, I???ll pass. Twenty years from now they will come back and tell you, that was the dumbest thing I ever came up with. The Bible asks---Are there any people with gray hair who can instruct these people on how to act? Makes you wonder, doesn???t it?

    Dear thesmart:

It was my intent to praise Zoosk. I think it's a great idea from start to finish; it's just not the way I dated when I was a kid. Please don't misunderstand me. I mean no harm. Best, Raina

There are so many inaccuracies in this story. I find it disturbing that you have written such a negative article about a site you have never even used. You say "I started a date card but didn't finish it." This means that most of the sites features were never even made available to you because you didn't finish the signup process!

You say "it means your Facebook friends can be active participants in your dating life" which is not true. Zoosk allows users of networks like Facebook to signup, but once you are in the confines of Zoosk, it is a different account, a different service kept apart from your friends. The only interaction your friends might have with you on Zoosk is that they can write a testimonial about you.

    Check your facts.
