It is my opinion that the election was clearly stolen. Asking anyone to believe that Moussavi really lost in his own provice with only thirty-odd percent of the vote borders on the unbelievable.

My concern is for the Iranian people. I'm trying to think of ways I can show international support for Moussavi and moderate Iranians without exascerbating the situation.

The Iranians should prepared "A MAD Dinner JUST" for Ahmadinejad

I can't see how this election-result is wise or good for the future of the Iranian people. The popular election --- if it was an election victory and not an intelligence op --- of "the Dwarf Dictator" makes military conflict seem much more likely. If Ahmadinejad is the face of their nation, the world will have far less restraint in making more Iranian martyrs.

On the other hand, can the snow leopard change his spots? Can Ahmadinejad pull a Hugo Chavez and reverse his rhetoric to moderate his image in the face of imminent failure? Personally, i don't think he is that clever, or that much in control of his mouth. I think he's a fool. But I have been wrong before in that assessment and in the willingness of a great many people to forget the past outrages of the seemingly powerful person in order to except more pleasant rhetoric.

If Ahmadinejad keeps up his psychotic babble in public places, no one will tie Israel's hands when the time comes to act. Putting nuclear weapons in the hands of this whack-job would be risk that rational world-leaders will find a way not to take. This looks like a very bad day for Iran.

Iran's leadership will one day soon find that you cannot squelch the will of the people. No-one beleives the *d*warf won the election. He sits smugly, for the time being. But remember, when the people do seize power in Iran, it will be by force, as the democratic process has been completely subverted. And forcible revolutions are quite brutal to the regimes currently in place. I hope to one day soon, to see Ahmadinejad's (and the rest of the theocratic pigs in the islamic council) have his/thier Ceacescu moment...!!
