Why do "green" light bulbs contain the deadly metal, mercury?

Why do required vaccinations contain a mercury derivative?

  • Posted By: burbank @ 07/12/2009 2:29:47 AM

There is a reason they call it the green movement. Websters II New Riverside Dictionary defines green as, "Lacking experience". It seems that the only "experience" the Green Movement has is one of promoting hype and hyperbole, postulating specious scientific theory as fact. I would be more worried about global cooling rather than global warming. In point of fact, more scientific evidence points toward a cooling rather than a warming trend when it comes to climate change here on earth. So bundle up all you earth first eco friendly namby pambys. Because in the space of just a few short years your new color wlll be blue, and not green.

Another "Green" article from newsweek. What a surprise. Oh and by the way Eleanor, no not everyone believes the hype. Some people can think for themselves and smell the BS thats being served to them on a not so silver platter.

Here's how Obama solves the problem. He dismantles industrial America and ships it to China where they're smart enough not to do this insanity. We will simply export the co2 offshore, it won't make any difference whatsoever except to make us a third world country overnight. Want proof? Spain did this and has 18% unemployment. We will throw the idiots out of office in 2010 and 2012 and undo this obscenity.

The Democrats are trying to get the fix in, with our dough.

YOUTUBE now captures an off-mike Waxman [D-Ca] promising ''50 million'' to Grayson [ D-Fla] in exchange for a ''yes''vote on this obscenity. Grayson , upon being pressed by reporters upon returning to his apartment during a recess, decides to start shoving them around in classic Capone fashion. Thus official bribery, in true Tammany style has become the tactic being used by Dems to push their shoddy product that a new RASMUSSEN poll shows nearly 70% of Americans dead-set against.[ including the leftwinged GREENPEACE ,which feels that it does not go far enough]. So much for either honesty or transparancy in government eh Kodas? [ or,if this deal was so damned great, then why are all the Dems acting like Chicago wardheelers on the take]?

www.youtube.com ''CAPANDWATCH'' for the up-to-moment antics by the Democrats in the House that include this mornings shouting match between two crooks. One being Obey of Wisconsin, and the other,Waters of California, who accused Obey of assaulting her.

  • Posted By: Lee Holmes @ 06/26/2009 3:44:40 PM

The NY Times joins NEWSWEAKS Kodas [whose name sounds like a STAR TREK villiian ] in peddling its CBO moonshine . Both never bothered to read the fine print, for, at the bottom of the reports appendix, is a footnote stating that ''adverse effects to the Gross Domestic Product'' may be ''expected''.
Ach so. The unemployment that MIT warned about back in 2007? The hit on all American families in higher energy, food and service costs CATO and HERITAGE found in their own studies just this month ? Or Spain, whose unemployment is now at 18% and rising due precisely to using Waxmans formula? Or the Australians, who are chucking their own program due not only to the same reasons but a patently growing scientific consensus of over 700 scientists and climateologists worldwide who are ''looking again'' at algores medieval -like hysteria over climate change that the Aussies are acting upon due to their own wrecked economy?
And what of the congressional Democrats in the House that are again, giving us a BS bill at over 1500 pages that no-one and I mean no-one has even read? [with Pelosi allowing only three hours for a vote only interrupted by a ''moment of silence'' for the Gloved One]. This crap is precisely what angered critics of the Bush administration then, and it stinks now. Bear in mind that no-one read the ''Stimulus'' bill either and we can readily see its results now, with all but four states nearly flat broke and all of America into double-digit unemployment by the end of July. The inmates are running the asylum and if not stopped, will create the worlds largest banana republic.

Wait. It gets even better. [or worse, when we consider our present economic misfortunes].

    WAXMAN-MARKEY.

It's laborious, at nearly 1200 pages, but the Democrats have cooked up another doozy to go along with their ruinous capntrade schemes. With the fervour of the true believer set upon a Crusade to the Holy Land, House leftwingers have parked this little gem in a nation that is headed for double-digit unemployment. Here, Waxman imposes a ''60%'' tariff on all imports[ and this is allowed to go to ''80%''] coming from nations that do not meet the US carbon cap formula in keeping pace with reducing ''greenhouse gases''. Thank Democrats and no others for the trade war that will ensue,as no-one in their right mind believes that trade powerhouses like China and India, let alone the EU,[all of which are raising hell over this lousy piece of legislation], will roll over for the bucktoothed Waxman. These nations will merely nail the US with injurious tariffs of their own, throwing even more Americans out of work and raising prices for the consiumers that are still left. This becomes a classic example of what occurs when a branch or branches of government are run by a political far wing. Liberals whined when it was the dreaded ''right''. We should all be worrying now that it becomes the left, unless one does not mind living in tents and eating at soup kitchens, something that neither Waxman or Markey will ever have to worry about.

President Obama is a delusional nitwit.Obama's ignorance and nativity is so egregious, one who is not a delusional ideologue, can only hope the enormous damage, his wrath is inflicting on our Nation and the world, can be favorably reversed to in a manner which allows us to maintain our current status in the World. Ironically, concentrating on his verbiage, the very facet of his personae which leads many to erroneously assume a heightened level of intelligence, is the precise entity, when deciphered, which unequivocally proves his abject lack of prudence. Nothing about his idiocy justifies the danger to our nation and the lives which will be lost as a result of his incompetent idiocy. ///// You're writing reminds me of one of our great current Americans, Mark Levin. Obama appears naive - but I believe he's a calculating, cold, angry radical, doing what he's been taught and to believe in. His bait & switch during the campaigning was ingenious; to the fall of the American republic as we've known it. He is a very dangerous person. I only pray that this Congress turns on him, when they've had enough of his acting on decisions without going through due process of Congressional decisions. We can only hope.

"...The failed economic policies of the previous "administration" should start to fade soon now that adults are in charge." Now that's priceless, LOL! Democrat congress since 2006 and what have they done for us lately? $1.33 trillion loss in value, $787 Billion increase in debt, Government ownership of banks, government ownership of Automanufactures, 9.4% or 16.5% unemployment (depending on which set U-3 or U-6 you look at), But thanks to Nancy Pelosi (who is once again politiking offshore) Botox sltock value has gon through the roof!

Charges brought against three members of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense under the Bush administration have been dropped by the Obama Justice Department, FOX News has learned.
The charges stemmed from an incident at a Philadelphia polling place on Election Day 2008 when three members of the party were accused of trying to threaten voters and block poll and campaign workers by the threat of force -- one even brandishing what prosecutors call a deadly weapon.
The three black panthers, Minister King Samir Shabazz, Malik Zulu Shabazz and Jerry Jackson were charged in a civil complaint in the final days of the Bush administration with violating the voter rights act by using coercion, threats and intimidation. Shabazz allegedly held a nightstick or baton that prosecutors said he pointed at people and menacingly tapped it. Prosecutors also say he "supports racially motivated violence against non-blacks and Jews."
The Obama administration won the case last month, but moved to dismiss the charges on May 15
The complaint says the men hurled racial slurs at both blacks and whites.
A poll watcher who provided an affidavit to prosecutors in the case noted that Bartle Bull, who worked as a civil rights lawyer in the south in the 1960's and is a former campaign manager for Robert Kennedy, said it was the most blatant form of voter intimidation he had ever seen.
In his affidavit, obtained by FOX News, Bull wrote "I watched the two uniformed men confront voters and attempt to intimidate voters. They were positioned in a location that forced every voter to pass in close proximity to them. The weapon was openly displayed and brandished in plain sight of voters."
He also said they tried to "interfere with the work of other poll observers ... whom the uniformed men apparently believed did not share their preferences politically," noting that one of the panthers turned toward the white poll observers and said "you are about to be ruled by the black man, cracker."

A victory for the hysterical Oprah Winfrey, the mad racist
preacher Jeremiah Wright, the US mainstream media who
abandoned any sense of objectivity long ago, Europeans who
despise America largely because they depend on her, comics
who claim to be dangerous and fearless but would not dare
attack genuinely powerful special interest groups. A victory
    for Obama-worshippers everywhere.

A victory for the cult of the cult. A man who has done
little with his life but has written about his achievements
as if he had found the cure for cancer in between winning a
marathon and building a nuclear reactor with his teeth.
Victory for style over substance, hyperbole over history,
    rabble-raising over reality.

A victory for Hollywood, the most dysfunctional community
in the world. Victory for Streisand, Spielberg, Soros,
    Moore, and Sarandon.

Victory for those who prefer welfare to will and
interference to independence. For those who settle for group
think and herd mentality rather than those who fight for
individual initiative and the right to be out of step with
    meager political fashion.

Victory for a man who is no friend of freedom. He and his
people have already stated that media has to be controlled
so as to be balanced, without realizing the extraordinary
    irony within that statement.

Like most liberal zealots, the Obama worshippers constantly
speak of Fox and Limbaugh, when the vast bulk of television
stations and newspapers are drastically liberal and
anti-conservative. Senior Democrat Chuck Schumer said that
just as pornography should be censored, so should talk
radio. In other words, one of the few free and open means of
popular expression may well be cornered and beaten by
bullies who even in triumph cannot tolerate any criticism
    and opposition.

A victory for those who believe the state is better
qualified to raise children than the family, for those who
prefer teachers' unions to teaching and for those who
are naively convinced that if the West is sufficiently weak
towards its enemies, war and terror will dissolve as quickly
as the tears on the face of a leftist celebrity.

A victory for social democracy even after most of Europe
has come to the painful conclusion that social democracy
leads to mediocrity, failure, unemployment, inflation,
higher taxes and economic stagnation. A victory for
intrusive lawyers, banal sentimentalists, social extremists
    and urban snobs.

Congratulations America! Your funeral will be sooner than
    you think!

If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given Tony Blair a set of inexpensive and useless (to Tony Blair's UK video formatting) DVDs, when Tony Blair had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current on their income taxes, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive?

Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in how many weeks???? -- so you'll have three years to come up with an answer.

"Liberal SOCIALIST Agenda": Those who prefer welfare to will and interference to independence. Those who settle for group think and herd mentality rather than those who fight for individual initiative and the right to be out of step with meager political fashion. those that say media has to be controlled so as to be balanced, without realizing the extraordinary irony within that statement, all the while slamming the ONLY one that is (FOX).those who believe the state is better qualified to raise children than the family those who prefer teachers' unions to teaching and for those who are naively convinced that if the West is sufficiently weak towards its enemies, war and terror will dissolve as quickly as the tears on the face of a leftist celebrity. those for social democracy even after most of Europe has come to the painful conclusion that social democracy leads to mediocrity, failure, unemployment, inflation, higher taxes and economic stagnation those for intrusive lawyers, banal sentimentalists, social extremists and urban snobs. THAT is a small portion of the Liberal Agenda.. And it is like a cancer to this country

The question shouldn't be how much energy reform costs, but how much is the cost if we don't reform our energy industry. We've seen the repugnant ones fight energy efficiency and better gas mileage for our cars for decades and we've seen energy prices spike. We need to wean ourselves off of cheap energy and get on with making more and more of our energy from renewable sources like wind and solar. If the repugnant ones have their way and stop energy reform then in a few years we'll be looking back and remembering when oil was cheap at $147 a barrel and gas was only around $4 a gallon. If we don't get smart now in a few years we'll be kicking our collective behinds for not passing this energy reform bill now.
