TO: JON MEACHAM
Health by Jon Meacham regarding seizures is a good article. I do believe though you could find a better story out there with someone living with seizures, epileptic seizures. I am 57 years old living with epilepsy most of my life. I've been faced with death about 12 different times from seizures, only hurting myself. I had my drivers license taken away about 20 years ago, had the major brain operation take place, removing my right temporal lobe and my right hippacampums removed, losing all my life memories. I have tried about six different medications, and currently on my 10-th Neurologist.
my story is similar as the one below but I feel a bit more dramatic. I now have a Heart Attack to add to my story. Living with different hidden disabilities can be heart warming. The only major difference about your story on epileptic seizures and my story on living with seizures is I love to help educate the public about seizures and tell my story using my name and experiences. I am not shy about speaking about my story or using my name.
I will not use the Neurologists names. I will share their information and the bad examples they did with me, just not use their names for obvious reasons. I love to reach out and tell my stories, through articles I wrote or the book I wrote, that people encouraged me to write about. I just can not find the correct publisher to help me.
If it were at all possible to tell my story or share my articles with Newsweek Magazine I would do it!
Sincerely,
Bob Raymond (bobray@cox.net)
