    america -israel and islam

unfortunately there is no escaping the conclusion that after the 1998 nuclear blast by pakistan the whole of that region is viewed by the pro-american west as a threat to their interests whatever they might be and it seems like america is bent upon somehow destroying the entire globe and even itself in the process ,

while countries lie iran iraq afg and pakistan have enough man power in their scaffolds america is slowly consuming both it's degenerating economy and its demoralised troops too,

all this seems to be aimed at nuclear missiles and arsenals which were in the first place sponsored to pak by CHINA ,although the hoax was kadeer khan who is a nobel physicist from belgium and wanted by america ,

since 1998 usa staged a military coup in pakistan and if saudia had not intervened would 've had the elected premier assassinated but when the military refused to cooperate in the crucial nuclear issue we had 9/11 which led to afghani invasion and u.s presence in the heart of asia next to iran -pakistan ,russia and china .

since then the US ARMY EVANGELISTS induced a crusade in iraq too for purely egoistical reasons leading to over a million civilian casualties ,but that is just the tip of the iceberg as american drones since have massacred millions in pakistan and afghanistan too.

the grapevine from afghan is that the war is a hoax and only there to pressurise iran and pakistan into submission over the nuclear aims and goals, that unfortunately is not going to go american way despite all the vile and filthy tactics and human massacres which are being reflected in a giant degeneration as a punitive measure in american economy which under obama is spiralling into an abyss .

DIVINE INTERVENTION INDEED FOR INNOCENT BLOOD BEING SPILT ,

usa needs to talk to china but i do not think they trust usa one tiny bit and are trapping it to the core in a huge economical and military trap .

There is only one solution for dealing with this difficult problem: economic sanctions. We must not tolerate oppressive government that kills and slaughters its own people. Remember Neda Agha-Soltan??? Remember Neda Agha-Soltan??? Remember Neda Agha-Soltan???

    • Posted By: rezaA @ 07/16/2009 2:09:32 PM

economic sanctions does not work on opressive governments if america itself was oppresive for 8 years under bush. in those 8 years america set up torture chambers in guantanamo, baghram, and abu ghraib, remember lakhdar bumeydian? remember sami al-hajj? remember he uigur detainees?

The anti-regime forces need to bring in the religious forces by showing the obvious hypocrisy of the regime. Khomeini's teachings call for a supreme leader to rule the country that is one of the most knowledgeable clerics in Islamic law. In Iran, such people are called grand ayatollahs. When Khomeini took power, there were a dozen grand ayatollahs but only one supported his vision of a grand ayatollah serving as supreme leader. In the late 80's, that grand ayatollah opposed Khomeini on several issues thereby presenting Khomeini with a big problem. Should he follow his own teaching and name as supreme leader a grand ayatollah that opposes him? Should he abandon his teachings calling for a supreme leader who is a grand ayatollah? Unfortunately, he chose a third inconceivable option. He named Khamenei to be a grand ayatollah. Khamenei is not one of the most knowledgeable men in Iran in Islamic law. Not only did Khomeini violate his own teachings but also he insulted Islam by naming an unqualified man to be a grand ayatollah.

    • Posted By: rezaA @ 07/16/2009 1:57:42 PM

khomenei didn't choose khamenei, rather rafsanjani claimed that khomeini did. therefore it was rafsanjani who led the ascent of the unqualified mullah khamenei

What the Iranian opposition needs is one thing: guns. Lots of guns. (Ammo too) Let's hope our president has the CIA working behind the scenes to get them across the border from Iraq into Iran.

    • Posted By: rezaA @ 07/16/2009 1:52:38 PM

foreign backed opposition does not help bring democracy, it only increases authoritarianism. this is because the hardliners (ultra-conservatives) will use the foreign card to illegitimize the people's opposition (reformists) by connecting it to the foreign-backed UNPOPULAR ones (MEK, Jundallah, PJAK, Rastakhiz).

Iranfree, you needn't be shocked by Mr. Zakaria's comments here- his role as a journalist has often been to serve as a voice of moderation. He cautions us against both jubilation and panic, inflated hopes and despair. Reading his columns or listening to his words, we are forced to remind ourselves that there is more than one way of looking at most issues. A closer look at history will often reveal what we have not ourseleves considered.

While I cannot recall him ever writing about "good talibans," except perhaps in the strictest sense of the word ("student,") I suppose Fareed Zakaria would be the one to find any positives that did exist. However, when impugning someone's statistics, you would do well to offer evidence that they're incorrect (e.g. some stastics of your own to counter what's been expressed.)

  • Posted By: iranfree @ 07/11/2009 3:53:50 AM

I got the impression of Mr. Zakaria's thoughts that unfortunatley he do not know enough about the middle east. especially his ideas about Taliban and now about Iran is amazing, shocking I'd say. He believes there are good talibans, what about good cancers or a kind of good HIV virus? now he cross his ideas across about to what extent people are religous here in Iran. I wish he could stay a week or even 2 days here to understand his statistics are totally wrong.

Why does the United States try to fund those trying to topple the Iranian government? And most significantly, why fund those militants who are there to only foster trouble in Iran? Is this not irresponsibility of the highest order? What if these trouble mongers carry out bombings in Iran? How would the United States justify her war on terror to herself? Does the United States administration justify the war on terror to herself? The United States cannot justify her animosity against Iran. Iran has not attacked the United States either militarily, or by other subversive means. Indeed, The United States supported the previous Iraqi regime under Saddam Hussein, by providing arms and financial support. It would support the broad support that the United States enjoys, if conciliatory measures were undertaken towards Iran.

  • Posted By: farneyblakeley @ 07/04/2009 8:20:33 AM

I think it is naive to simply say that the Iranian people must liberate themselves. The tools of authority are stronger than ever. It is nearly impossible for a general populace to overcome a well-funded ruthless government such as that in Iran. International pressure will be part of the solution to the dictatorial problem in Iran. Of course not all dictatorships are a problem as far as the US state department is concerned. The one in Saudi Arabia lives on with our blessing.

I hope we realize the fight in Iran is not about Liberal Democracy, pro-west poiticians vs anti-west politicians. IIt is the deteriorating economy on top of high unemployment and inflation force people on the street to demand changes. The opposition parties had been in power for 4 years. Nothing in regard to foreighn policy has changed.

    • Posted By: Suthnuh @ 07/03/2009 6:56:34 PM

Ronald, I hope you are correct. Because that would mean the Obama administration's tenure will be blessedly brief!!!

  • Posted By: NeoPoliticus @ 07/02/2009 9:52:33 AM

In the real world, the bad guys always win - unless someone stronger stands up to them. The UN won't and we certainly know that OBie won't. Liberalism is just a sick hypocrisy that will sacrifice anyone to keep its illusion alive.

There is a way to be strong and a way to be a bully. The way to stand up to the 'President' of Iran is hardly by threatening with force, and if you think that, then you're one of the reasons that the world sees us as a bully. The people that get hurt with the use of force are the Iranians. The common people. Those on the top wouldn't suffer because they can hide, or run away and escape. Being strong also means knowing when to shut up and let the people speak for themselves. Change from the outside almost never works; its change from the inside that's required, and the Iranian people have to fight for it themselves, which it looks like they might be willing to do. The way we show strength in helping is by using our technologies to help them organize, and intergovernmental organizations to help them gather funds and supporters, so that we aren't going at it alone like we seem to have been doing in the past 10 years (and we all see where that's gotten us). Read up a little on the Middle East and their people. They have a lot of pride in their way of life and their beliefs, and your trying to "help" them doesn't always come across as friendly, but rather more like an older big brother who always tells you what to do. It can often be annoying and very counterproductive.

While america under obama calls himself a WATCHMEN FOR THE WORLD WHILE INDULGING IN MASS MURDERS IN AFGHANISTAN AND IRAQ .
As for the western media they have neither any morality or standards and are a mandatory mendacious malice which needs to be totally ignored as China and Russia already practice widely and i am glad iran has taken a similar stance to saudia, cuba and venezuela .
The world mr. obama is defined in terms other than your 8 gangster cronies including the most corrupt parliament in the world presently -GREAT BRITAIN ,undergoing the worst expenses scandal in 300 years ,
It makes me ashamed to call myself a briton and i wish the queen had dissolved and barred all these fiscal vultures from ever contesting again in any election but then western democracy is a process of selection and they handpick even the candidates just like they did with a man who was selected because of his middle muslim name and skin colour to appease a world which refuses to take that false bait .

In fact the iran election has been a blessing in ending the obama charade as the masquerade is over and the snake in the grass is now out as the venomous reptile it always was and that i think is a triumph for iranian diplomacy and it just goes to say that apart from the obama regime and it's 8 poodles no body else has meddled in this amusing affair .
As for Sarkozy he did not even know or care while he lost over 200 citizens leaving it to brazil to find the wrecks while his nuclear submarines cruised the atlantic colliding with british submarines in hilarious encounters ,but he found the iran elections unfair a day later .
A parade of harlequins ,harlots and mentally handicapped jarheads who are not even mediocre politicians -just corrupt, festering and a valedictory malady .
MR.OBAMA YOU or YOUR spectacularly vulgar media has not earned the right to criticise iran which despite it's flaws is leagues ahead of being both a welfare state and a genuine theocracy which respects it's minorities compared your jewish theocracy of israel which demolishes every value with phosphorous bombs while obama regime turns a blind eye and every day people die in USA because of lack of health care which is a basic human right amongst many others which USA does not even recognise as humanity for you have to be humane to do so in the primary perspective .
AS FOR USA -OBAMA IT SHOULD TAKE A LEAF OUT OF THE CUBAN NEIGHBOUR STATE AS TO HOW TO CURB MADOFFS ,DRUG CARTELS AND GET A HEALTH CARE THAT IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD WITH ONE DOCTOR FOR EVERY 1500 CITIZENS .

MARIONETTES AND CHAMELEONS IN A MALEDICTORY MASQUERADE -
Iran has slapped the so-called democracy of the western corruption and imperialism with a thunderbolt that has left the megalomaniac president obama who is the equivocal of a modern day chameleon and a well manicured mannequin who maunders on and on without any logic about his Maledictory economy and even sicker health care .

OBAMA talks of Neda who was seen dying a snuff death so characteristic of hollywood soap dramas which makes it a staged death with a camera on hand to film a gory spectacle ,but he has amnesia when it comes to MIT trained PAKISTANI neurologist Aafia Siddiqui and her 3 kids who disappeared from Karachi ,in a CIA raid as she was wanted in connection with al-qaeda connections -presumably they have all 4 been assassinated or murdered by his evil american agency .

Obama forgot to focus on WACO KILLINGS-BURNINGS OF DAVIDIANS by FBI IN BILL CLINTON ERA too as IMAM KHAMANEI POINTED OUT -while OBAMA ranted about the protesters in iran being given free hand to burn and pillage at will because that constitutes human rights because FBI -CIA are given a free hand to indulge in it ,he has obviously no memory of Los Angeles riots and rodney King .

A night before the election WASHINGTON POST ITSELF PREDICTED NEJAD WILL WIN IN A LANDSLIDE and american election forensicologists from Detroit to Washington have confirmed the elections were fair ,YET no american has ever called for an enquiry into the FLORIDA CUBAN FIASCO which definitely was a criminal offence where ballots were stolen in an organised manner to change electoral votes in a so-called anglo-saxon democracy .

While Israel continues to extend settlements and the health care deteriorates to a new level in USA,Obama talks of human rights in iran while his drones daily kill dozens of pakistani children in FATA ,AND THE FARAH MASSACRE [afghanistan]IS DISMISSED AS A MISTAKE -shame on a reprehensible ,oppressive obama regime which has no intellect ,morality or logic even to justify it's predatory manoeuvres .

i think fareed zakaria has taken the crown over from swalman rushdie in being the new western muslim court jester who finds everything about islam abhorrent and repressible in the the most monotonous monologues as maledictory as the satanic verses

    • Posted By: xmissile @ 07/01/2009 2:40:05 PM

"most monotonous monologues as maledictory". Are you using alliteration to emulate Jesse Jackson or is this a rap song?

It is unfortunate the way things have turned out. For a moment there, it really seemed as if there was going to be a great breakthrough, a renaissance of Iran into the international community to take it proper place among nations who lead the world. Unfortunate because apparently this is not to be and we are left to deal with Ahmadinejad for years to come.

Iranians just discovered that they now have a Shaw. The difference is that this one wears a turban.
The revolution that toppled the shaw in 1979 was one of the greatest non-violent revolutions of all time. People resisted the Shaw merely by leaving their place of work and walking the streets. The shaw retaliated by releasing his goons. That led to "Black September".Eventually the army refused to shoot the demonstrators, As a result, the Shaw fell from power.
It could happen again. The United States could encourage the transition by offering assylum to the religous leader and his entourage.

That's right! Let's buckle up and INVADE! That'll teach them but Good!
OK, for real. Just how is the US govt. supposed to act on this. Any military option is out, since we don't have the resources to start up a third major operation. Economic pressure doesn't work on an oil rich nation. The only thing we can do is talk..at least for the moment.
The old "America the POWERFUL" policy is no longer a viable option. We have to try something and for the moment talk is all we have.
Besides, any military planning needs to focused on North Korea. It seems they have nuclear weapons and are working on a long range delivery system. It might be a nice idea to do something before they lob a few nukes at Hawaii and worry about spreading our version of democracy to a part of the world that has been at each others throats since antiquity.

"We don't want to meddle" That is Obama's statement as the freedom demonstrators took to the streets. That is the statement of the President of the United States that was still ringing around the world as Neda was shot down and bled to death. Not what anyone in any sense of the word call moral support. And what did Obama gain by sitting idly by while the holocaust deniers beat down the freedom movement? Does he really think that this illiigitimate regime will negotiate an end to their nuclear weapons program and give up on their deisre to eradicate Israel from the map? The answer to those questions seems to be yes. ..Obama truly seems believes he can talk to the regime and we will see "Peace in Our Time".
