    1. John Weaver,a former Senior Strategist for McCain's Presidential Bids.

"Policy is Politics and Palin Has No Real Accomplishments as Governor"
    ---------------------------------

    2. Rich Killion, Adviser to Gov. Mitt Romney,

"How can Palin convince a General Election Audience How Quitting on her Constituents is a Good Thing"

Those Statements are [Factual & Actual] 2 1/2 yrs as Governor...

There are No [Accomplishments] There is No [Alaskan Gas Pipeline]

Palin Gave 500 Million Dollars of State Money to a Company [Trans-Canada] that Cannot Provide [Gas] Only make the Pipeline. The Deal she made was [Dumber than the Dumbest]

500 Million in Seed Money for a Pipeline that will Cost [27 1/2 Billion $$] minus Palin's 500 Million and Guess where the Financing-Money of such a Project will come From...The Federal Government, that's who !!

It is Big Oil-Gas who Own All the [Gas Land Leases]

Meaning, The Dummy [Palin] Passed Legislation that Excluded [Big Oil-Gas] from Bidding on the Project. Leaving Only [Trans-Canada] as the Lone Bidder. The sad thing about all of this is, Big Oil-Gas can Finance this Entire Deal, minus Palin using the State of Alaska's [500 Million] and still give Alaskan's their [Socialist, Windfall Profit Tax Money] Probably More.

Two of [Big Oil-Gas] Biggest Companies are going Forward with their Own Gas Pipeline Project, they do Own the Gas Land Leases.

While Palin's Project is Muddied in Litigation which is [Her Fault]

It will take YEARS to cut through all the Legal issues Involving Palin's Project and she knows it too, let alone the Actual Building of the Gas Pipeline after Litigation, it will also take [8-10 YEARS] after Litigation, that's Exactly why she [Quit] and still tries to [Mislead] Americans via her Rambling Exit, regarding her so called Accomplishments which are [None] to be Exact.

Especially regarding Palin's Gas Pipeline, that Does not Exist, At All.

I said before and will say, Now...

    Sarah Palin is a [Hollow,Floating,Bubble]

"The news rattles a Republican Party plagued with setbacks in recent weeks, ..."

    Ya think?!

Those in the GOP who have any sense indeed should be rattled. A lame, inarticulate 'Babe' who thrills only what the now crippled party has to call its 'base' will have a difficult time fighting off her and her drones, and putting up a credible candidate who doesn't get cannibalized by that good ol' 'base'.

Of course, the Dems will delight in watching what a mess it will be while the fervent, unthinking uninformed (who among other things, think she's smart and got what to them constitutes an 'education') froth at the mouth over her and tear at their own kind like they have at Obama.

I, for one, will enjoy watching that hate machine they created and nurtured get turned inward. What goes around...

This Obama supporter says: Pray for Palin in 2012!

Don't "enjoy" it. There's nothing to be gained from nasty partisan politics any way you slice it.

I oppose her politically on many issues, I do not, however, take any particular pleasure from her resignation, nor do I despise her as many do. If the point is to get away from hateful partisan politics, you don't get away from that by getting popcorn and watching with a grin as she resigns her governorship a year and a half early.

If anything, one would hope it gets Bristol, Trig, and the rest of her family out of the limelight for awhile (and the tabloid covers) so they can live their lives with some decency and dignity again.

        I hear the violins.

Palin is an oaf. She makes Dan Quayle look like a genius, and he embarrassed us all. I see no dignity in her, only unqualified ambition.

I don't hate Palin. She is too insignificant for that. Disdain tops me out on her.

I expect you know this so I'll give you the short version. I had never voted for a D for national election before the last. I was a committed McC supporter and vote. Then I was besieged by the incredible number of hate, smear and lie anonymous emails the organized propaganda campaign broadcast against Obama. They caused me to read his books, and to learn more about him. My eyes have been opened, despite the contrary propaganda effort.

A point of my post to which you replied was that the very dupes who bought and willingly participated in that campaign, who continue to repeat the same elements right now, are the ones who flocked to that empty shell and just ate up her character attacks on Obama... in between winks, that is...

That propaganda machine appaled me and continues to do so. Those who rhapsodize on her, a nothing, or worse. Our election system needs to be free of the machine that pumps out the hate, lies and distortions of the last campaign.

As a fan, hoper-for karmatic 'actions and reactions' I am hoping that my party will experience a lesson that propaganda, lies and smears can infect one's self. Palin will be the agent, and her 'base' will apply the same hate and vitriol to any members of the party who oppose her. As far as I can see, the only way the republican party, my party, can recover from what infects it now is to see that the seeds it sews can be, indeed are, self-injurious. Only then can I see that our necessity for a healthy two-party system could be viable again.

Sarah injected her family into the political arena from the beginning. She exposed them to the tabloids. She owes her children an apology for being so ambitious as to not consider their welfare first. What has come to Palin and hers is nowhere near what was heaped upon Obama. That probably will now be applied to Palin's new opponents, by the one's who pity her now.

As for 2012, Obama is the most able and qualified leader I have ever seen. I do not want to see the hate, lie, smear propaganda machine deny us next time either.

She won't win the republican nomination in 2012, but now that she doesn't have to worry about actually governing anything, don't underestimate her ability to fire up the conservative base, which translates into $$$ for the republican war chest.

She doesn't have to actually run for office in order to pump up the volume, not unlike what Cheney and Newt are currently doing.

Just because democrats have 60 seats in the senate this is not a time to be complacent. The Sarah Palins of the world will try damn hard to see that change in 2010.

One hopes that this is a move that will allow her to spend more time with her family and keep them from having to put up with the ghoulishness of the tabloids, because if she thinks this an honest first step towards a Presidential campaign then she's lost it. I wish her well, but this is not a move that says "stability and staying power".

How does NOT completing her first term as Governor of Alaska add to her political resume? She transferred colleges 6 times before she earned her 4 year degree, now I completely understand why...God Bless America and its wise electorate.

Mrs. Palin's decision is a statement to the sad useless portion of the American public and Media even if she decides to continue. On the bright side she now has the means to make the needed adjustments to the out of control defamation of someone's character especially by the Media.

If she really wants to make a difference in America it would be litigation against the Media, specific parties and several blog site owners and blogers hopefully keeping such a travesty from happening again!

She wouldn't even have to go it alone, think of all the other public figures which could even turn it into a Class Action Lawsuit. Then maybe we could get responsible, truthful and believable information from the Media!

For Palin to leave before the end of her term without explanation to her constituency is extremely self-serving, no matter how she tries to spin it.

Bottom line: nobody likes a quitter.

Excuse me. I shed no tears for Palin's departure. And I bet her constituents in Alaska are relieved too. It's difficult to be the butt of jokes and a punchline for too long. But one more request please. Can you also spare us the inanities of your clueless pronouncements and mindless comments?
