Both of these men must be removed from power. The idea that they would waste time trying to sue former President Bush when the country is in an economic tailspin is beyond believable. The only reason for stating such a lie as fact is to discolor and discredit the United States as a force for good in the world and to give thrift to the the maniacal ravings of fascists and terrorists like Chavez and bin Laden. For the record, the practice of waterboarding, to which, ostensibly, Klaidman refers, was an interrogation technique used on all of three terrorists to extract invaluable intelligence that saved American lives. All three of these terrorists walked away from their interrogations intact, something which does not occur after torture. Has Klaidman ever heard of the iron maiden or stretching rack? This statist bastard goes on to paint former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales as a common crook driven by greed and disdain for the law, while in the next breath whitewashing Janet Reno (who, incidentally, ordered the siege of the Koresh Compound in Waco that burned alive scores of woman and children and order the seizure of a young Cuban boy, Elian Gonzales, at the muzzles of M-16s so that he could be dumped as a slave in the sugar cane fields of a communist dicatorship,) as a "folksy" saint of "righteousness." My God, what in the hell happened to our country that the people now in control of us want to slit our throats? Daniel Klaidman ought to be driven from the continent by an angry mob. Instead, he will probably receive a Pulitzer Prize for "excellence" in journalism. Wake up, people!

Actually, this is more frightening - May 2009: A USA air strike on Granai (in the western district of Bala Baluk) kills 147 Afghan civilians. I don't recall such travesties so early in the Bush 43 administration......

NEWSWEEK is too in the tank for Obama to be believable. I'm sure NEWSWEEK's staff probably believes Bush himself should go to jail for something or other. I live in Portland, Oregon, for God's sake. I am used to liberal bias and the twisted reasoning that permeates the left. Bush/Cheney=Hitler. Bush is racist, homophobic, hates the poor and hates the environment. We heard the same crap when Reagan was president. If the left had there way, all Republicans would go to jail. To most Democrats, Republicans are, by their very nature, hate criminals. Meanwhile, the communistic, anti-capitalist leanings of the left are well known. They openly disdain the American lifestyle, American products and American traditions, and they have an army of lawyers trying to undo America piece by piece. Who deserves to go to jail now?
