What an IDIOT ... resorting to name calling is sooooo childish ... but I s'pose it the best ya' got ... how sad!!!

I think Eric Holder, and Obama both can go to >>>> they both don't understand the emormous pressure the last administration had to find out what went wrong with 911 and how to defend it. I can't stand when people take cheap shots at those who try hard to defend our great land from any futher attacks. Its wrong in the public's eye, its wrong for the country and it shows a sign of arrogence. I hope personally he both of these men find out the hard way what they are doing, which is flat out wrong.

Oh poor George and Dick ... such pressure ... perhaps they should have just pursued the LEGAL options. After all, chocolate cookies worked BETTER than torture (and it's legal); and the warrantless wiretaps that were unnecessary because it is sooo easy to get a warrant AFTER you begin the wiretap. They CHOSE to go the illegal route instead.

Everything that is done that could be deemed unconstitutional should be investigated.

That includes the voter intimidation done by the New Black Panthers in Philadelphia during the November election. Why did Holder drop all charges when there was video proof of the intimidation? And, what about ACORN? And, Murtha and 60% to 80% of the rest of Congress for receiving kickbacks (money going directly to their PAC's are LEGAL???), earmarking for family members companies etc?

Why not investigate the Federal Reserve? The Banking, Insurance & Mortgage Industry? Stock Exchange? Commodities Exchange? They are the ones who caused the meltdown. And the crooks on Capitol Hill GAVE THEM MONEY to save them ---- that's more fishy.

Be careful what you wish for ... remember, this was done before Jan 20th ... on the Bush/Cheney/Paulson watch!!!

      • Posted By: Hannah B @ 07/15/2009 6:00:41 PM

Oh and let's be sure to investigate Ensign (for paying his mistress and her family out of party, senate and family funds) to buy their silence.
And Sandford for dereliction of duty while he was on the "ole' Appalachian Trail, and didn't answer over 15 calls to him. Thank goodness there was no big emergency since he left no one was in charge of running the state!

Osama's attorney general has his head up his a---.

    • Posted By: Hannah B @ 07/15/2009 5:52:13 PM

Oh yeah ... Gonzo was soooooo much better ... I especially loved the way the Justice Department installed a political litmus test for all prosecutors to make sure that only the "loyal Bushies" got those jobs. That was soooooo much better for the country.

  • Posted By: MCGILL @ 07/12/2009 1:18:32 AM

Obama as well as his cabinet members are nothing more than a circus act filled with stupidity what a mistake he has proven himself to be in such a short period.

    • Posted By: Hannah B @ 07/15/2009 5:47:40 PM

Be careful ... Most believe that the past 8 years was the biggest circus act since the Civil War!

  • Posted By: newshound12 @ 07/13/2009 12:23:57 AM

This is sad. Just sad. I just feel sick when I hear my liberal friends talking about how Bush should be hung or put in jail for the rest of his life. These people did what they thought at the time was the right decision. It may not have been, but everyone was panicked after 9/11. George Bush is quite clearly a goodhearted man who just wanted to keep his country safe. The level of hatred and persecution against him is sickening.

    • Posted By: Hannah B @ 07/15/2009 5:40:54 PM

No, what's SAD interesting is how easily all the "loyal Bushies" decided to totally IGNOR the Constitution they swore to 'protect and defend against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC" and then systematically dismantled for the 7 years and approximately 4 months thereafter post 9/11. They didn't even consider the lessons we should ALL have learned from the Nuhrenberg trials, which the US participated in by the way. They didn't even have to read about them ... they could have rented the movie or caught it on TCM."
And you say you are saddened by the Dems ... well we say we were saddened by what was done for the past 8 year, (including the 9/11 warnings of Richard Clark, Bill Clinton and others that went ignorred.!

When one makes a mistake, one needs many more mistakes to cover up the first mistake.

Verily, there was a terrible mistake, albeit perhaps made with good intention as far as national security is concerned. But still there is no necessity to wash shelved dirty linen in public.

Surely this administration has better and more urgent thing to do. Look forward to tackle the grim future first.

    • Posted By: Hannah B @ 07/15/2009 5:25:41 PM

Oh and I'm so sure that if the Dems had done what the Repubs have done for the past 8 years you would be saying the same thing. Oh wait ... the 8 years before Bush were spent on only "the important things" like B*** J**s for sooo many years ad nauseum. I'm detecting the stench of hypocrasy again. What a surprise ... that is such a new concept for the right wingnuts!!!!!

  • Posted By: Holy_Underwear @ 07/13/2009 4:16:34 AM

Sorry about the typos in my last post.. I am tired.. Could this be a distraction because it doesn't look like Health Care Reform will pass Congress? Do you think we might forget about the vote of the Global Warming Bill for a day? Even with a 60 seat majortiy it may not pass the Senate? Do you think this will make us forget about how are troops are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan for a few days? Maybe with the commotion over this we might forget about how our 800 billion dollars stimulus isn't working.

    • Posted By: Hannah B @ 07/15/2009 5:19:47 PM

You are soooo right ... that's because Dems can actually think for themselves and don't automatically agree on abolutely EVERYTHING like the "borg-like" Repubs. What a concept ... a politician who can think for themselves and NOT follow the party lines and talking points ... Rove, Cheney ( BOTH of them) Bush, Gonzo, etc, etc, etc, etc, lie and the rest of them swear that their lies are absolute truths. It's such a sad thing when a brain/mind is so underutilized for years and years and years ...

This black bastard will be probed too!!

    • Posted By: Hannah B @ 07/15/2009 5:07:29 PM

I believe you misspelled your name. You and the rest of your right wingnuts more appropriately can be called "riducule us."
You and rest of your fellow unAmerican radical extremist friends referred to as "birthers" are soooo ignorant. There are none so blind as those who close their eyes so they can't see. You can SEE the birthcertificate on line if you would just look it up. Oh but I s'pose all of you project that it was all a great big conspiracy back in 1961 to counterfeit an American certificate so he could become President ( by the way I'm pretty sure that his mother was not even in Kenya before Barack was born). Now THAT's RIDICULOUS and farfetched and way, way out there. OH look what I've done ... I've proved that your CHOSEN nickname is very appropriate ... you ARE TOO RIDICULOUS 2 BE listened to or TAKEN SERIOUSLY!!!!!
And don't even get me started on the RIDICULOUS viewpoint of the self-rightous,double standard, hypocrisy of the right wingnuts about "activist" judges ... they say they don't want judges to be activists ... when they actually just want their judges to be activists who will push their intrusive radical viewpoints down all of our collective throats!!!

      1. He's not a bastard and was conceived under wedlock.
      2. He's as much "white" as he is "black"
      3. If Obama were to break the law then yes, he should be probed as well.
      4. What would him being black or a bastard have anything to do with it?

      • Posted By: misskaren @ 07/13/2009 1:47:34 PM

The obvious racism is sickening and I thank you for responding to it.

  • Posted By: dredai @ 07/14/2009 4:32:30 AM

As always I can read a few posts and get a clear view of what side of the political spectrum most of you guys lie. When it comes to this issue, I honestly don't understand why there is even a debate. For instance, in our society if a crime was commited or even suspected as to have been commited, whether it be murder, fraud, arson, robbery . . . we investigate. Why should this be any different. Now granted the implications would suggest that our former President and George Bush knowingly made decisions to cover up some of the mishaps from the aftermath of the horrific attacks on 9/11. So what! If they did nothing wrong, it would become evident. And for those who feel that this is looking back when we should be moving forward, I ask you this; How can you truly move forward without understanding the mistakes of the past? As a military veteran, our oath upon enlistment includes a specific line detailing that we will uphold as well as defend our Constitution. This is the same oath every government personnel swears by so why do we feel that Bush/Cheney are some how exempt. For those that didn't vote for President Obama, I'm pretty sure you may be asking for a probe into all of the decisions he has made thus far in his first year of the presidency, so why not the former White House who basically turned over the keys of the country out of gas, all dented up with 4 flats. I feel that an independent group should examine every former presidency and use that knowledge to support the current one.

SAD DAY FOR PROTECTION ON A AMERICAN STANDPOINT AND GLOBAL 2.......

  • Posted By: misskaren @ 07/13/2009 1:42:48 PM

Holder has to launch an inquiry. There's just too much there there.

  • Posted By: gtblackwell @ 07/13/2009 1:06:08 PM

It is imperative that he decide in favor of appointing a prosecutor. What good will come of this, Mr. McCain? Our leaders, in the future, will know that they are not immune from our nations laws. Just like every other citizen would be prosecuted for torturing others, so must our leaders. We must never let this happen again and the best thing we can do now, today, is place the full weight of the criminal justice system on the men and women who designed and carried out a system of torture in our name.

It is about more than just torture, however. An investigation into war crimes perpetrated by Bush officials (including the President himself) will not end there. Any investigation into the Bush Administration in the aftermath of 9/11 will inevitably uncover new facts about warrantless wiretapping and the mysterious Presidential Surveillence Program referenced in the recently released CIA Inspector General report..

It's about time. I was beginning to think there's a double standard when it comes to war crime. If America got Saddam hanged for crime against humanity, then it is but fair that Bush, Cheney and others who are involved in the torture of Guantanamo Bay prisoners should answer for their crime. Nothing less than the credibility of the US as a beacon of justice and democracy is at stake here.

Nobody cares what I think, luckily, yall are right there with me.

All incoming presidents should review all outgoing presidents. Any offenders worthy of fines, prison or death should receive their due. An example might be the president who ignored the genocide in Rwanda and refused to send troops. The same offender refused to even admit that genocide was taking place. In retrospect......off with their heads!

  • Posted By: DeborahJ @ 07/12/2009 5:04:54 AM

Attorney General Holder, how will you feel if you don't investigate? You'll never know if people in the Bush administration were truly guilty of war crimes if you don't investigate.

For a mind like yours, not knowing is far worse than anything you'll find.

  • Posted By: DeborahJ @ 07/12/2009 4:38:40 AM

This is one of the first things the Obama administration should have done. America WON'T forget!

  • Posted By: drdarkeny @ 07/12/2009 3:06:37 AM

The only way the American people are going to be able to "move forward" from the war crimes of the Treasonous Bush Regime is by investigating, trying, convicting and most importantly PUNISHING all responsible!

    Selah.
