Person of color? Ms. Sotomayor seems to be of mediterranian decend. I have a friend from Puerto Rico. I'll tell him he's a person of colar. He'll think I lost my mind. Also, I din't know that my fiend Luigi who comes from Sicily is a person of color too. I bet he didn't know that either. Mr. Ellis, I'm the decendent of Roman occupiers in Central Europe. I guess I'm a person of color too. I'll remember that when the issue of reparations for persons of color is brought up again.

Cose - your racism becomes more and more aparent with every article. If you want equality grow up and view people equally. Another biased pathetic HYPOCRITICAL liberal reporter who is helping newsweek go under. Is your resume up to date?

Brydges, I beg to disagree with you regarding Newsweek going under. Mr. Big Spender(Obama) will bail them out. Remember the cliche " I'll scratch your back, you scratch mine."

    And why not Cose?

Americans were treated to the spectacle of a white Democrat Barbara Boxer, waving NAACP writs in the face of a black man [Henry Alford, head of the National Black Chambers of Commerce, which obviously dwells within your ''vision of equality''] at the Senate energy hearings this week pitting race against itself as proferred by a white politician. This crap is going on now Cose. Not your ''1967''.[and it lends the lie to liberal ideals of ''diversity'',i.e. For Me, But Not For Thee]. As in ''1967'' those who do not toe party lines are held up as suspect, no matter their race. Boxer acted no damned differant than one of your ''ol boy Southern white pols circa 1964. And yet she is supposed to be the ''liberal''. World Turned Upside Down eh Cose?
