"The four largest endowments???Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Princeton???worth a combined $93 billion in June 2008, are all down more than 25 percent."

Hmm. Ben Bernake went to Harvard, taught at Stanford.
Robert Rubin - Harvard, Yale.
Larry Summers - Harvard.
Henry Paulson - Harvard.

Looks like Harvard, Stanford and Yale can't manage their money any better than they manage ours.

Not on the list of top four endowments, but I'm sure it's up there, is Dartmouth, which both Timothy Geithner and Henry Paulson attended.

NYU and Columbia, surely also on the list of schools with large endowments, are Alan Greenspan's old stomping grounds.

Boy, those state schools are sure looking better all the time.
