You must be leaving some stats out of the mix here. We loan out $700 billion, $70 billion is paid back and we are only owed $134 billion? Then you state we lent AIG $70 billion when it was closer to $185 billion very little of it was paid back they gave it to the big banks so those banks could pay back TARP. So far we have received money back that went from us to AIG to the banks and back to us. The TARP money is still MIA and since AIG will implode once everyone but the US is paid back well no more need be said about that.

What about the more than $10-$15 trillion in 'off the books' transactions by the Federal Reserve as reported by Bloomberg? Guess that doesn't count. Also can you tell us if any of the trillions of bank 'bad debt' guarantees by the Treasury are still in effect?

The spin machine is rewriting history as we speak.

    "the Obama economic program":
Obama program??? It was rather Bush bailout, Obama refused even to discuss it.
Besides, it is only Bush's $350 billion part which worked, most of Obama's "investments" will probably never be returned in full.
The Obama program is the "stimulus" package, which has not had time yet to "stimulate" anything so far.

    mijoh

"As quiet as it is being kept, the Obama economic program is slowly, surely delivering results, happening just the way he said it would."

Imagine that mijoh, Obama also has the larger percentage of the press at his beck and call?

I have to agree with james.free it is not some conspiracy that Obama is not getting credit for a program he had nothing to do with; don't you think "Photo Op" Obama would be holding Press conferences if he could?
