What I learned is that the repeal of the Glass-Steagull Act in 1999 set the stage for the creation of a myth. In the immediate aftermath too big to fail;failures were created and systemic risk taking was engrained into Wall Street. Following the repeal of Glass-Steagull (which was enacted after the Great Depression of 1929 to temper speculation) The Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 cemented lax regulation of new oil risk management practices. The era of oil is the only alternative and oil's obvious abundance prevailed for the following decade. We are still very much, if not more, relinquishing control of our destiny to our enemies.

The lessons of the past decade are that efforts to undermine our financial system originated from within our own ranks. Many House "Representatives" believe they represent worldly interests instead of those specific to the USA and Americans. There are too many people who favor the destruction of the USA and too many are willing to accept the bribes or policital contributions. They look the other way as USA's destruction is promulgated. Some are left wing radicals who are using this opportunity to forever damage our freedoms.

We have too few elites dictating and controlling our future. We are collectively addicted to oil. It is not a conspiracy. The Representatives are obvious about their intention to keep foreign and globalist notions alive and facilitating their agendas. This newly elected Presidential administration wastes resources and is compounding the problem. How many understand that alternatives to oil are available today? With government taking over the automobile industry can we expect the big three to manufacture cars that are fueled by USA's abundant natural gas? Alternatives exist, but the government is expends tremendous resources sidetracking every available option. Does your Representative favor US Energy Independence? Does your Representative have a plan to end US Energy Independence? Does you Represenative believe he or she is a global leader and not obligated to you? You only offer opinions, global corporations offer money. Greed wins!

Pickens Plan for US Energy Independence. What are we waiting for to begin to reduce the number of our dollars being used to buidl grand palaces in far away places?

57% of my fellow Americans have been kept stupid for a long time. This was the Bush/Rove strategy and it worked. KEEP um stupid. The next thing you know corporations flourished and i think every well connected individual in America became rich. The rise of private security firms like black water, independent contractors like Haliburton, and Exxon Mobile all made billions. Credit card companies used legislation to put people in permanent debt forcing them to pay unnecessary high interest rates. We were then sent in a catastrophic war in Iraq and neglected Afghanistan. There was no uproar.

Now that the government is trying to pass helath care and immigration reform there is a big uproar. The GOP always comes up with these stupid themes. JOE The PLUMER is a prime example. This is how the GOP gets the common man vote. GEORGE BUSH USED RELIGION TO CONVINCE PEOPLE TO VOTE FOR HIM. YES BUSH CLAIMED THAT HE AND NOT GORE HAD THE MORAL STANDING TO LEAD THIS COUNTRY and 50% of my dumb Americans fell for it. NOW WE ARE TO FORGET THE DISASTEr THAT THE REPUBLICANS PUT US IN and believe in Joe the plumber analogies and death BEDS FOR GRANDMA instead. We should support the Republicans becasue they believe that insurance companies are making tremndous profits and that we should leave health care alone. We should not trust our government who is trying to help the average person we should trust Republicans they will pass the reform we need. They will torcher illegal immigrants and save grandma let vote for them. It is this stupidity that has us in this mess.
