Some liberals think Democrats should purge their more conservative members, but do they want to be in the minority?

Good analysis thehappyamerican. The American people in general, unlike most of the Elite media, are more conservative than liberal. The Dem party has been hijacked by the Leftist liberals, and many rank and file Dems are not in favor of the Obama agenda. Perhaps the Dem party should get rid of the Liberals since they are the real minority. Hopefully the next election will bid adios to many of those Leftists.

You see average Dems are not comfortable with ACORN and having communists as Czars in the administration. They don't like it when legislation is pushed against the will of the people. As Paulj said, moderate independents are a big voting bloc and should not be ignored.

Contrary to popular belief, the conservatives have actually applauded Obama on his military commands. The Republican party has been taking stabs at President Obama, since his nomination for presidency. They have disagreed with his beliefs ranging from economic to healthcare policies. They were satisfied with him proceeding with the early deployment of nearly 17,000 troops, as well as appointing a new General in McChrystal, who replaced Gen. McKiernan. Gen. McKiernan struggled in Afghanistan with a strategy to succeed in the war on Al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Karl Rove, who was an advisor for former President Bush, has openly praised Mr. Obama on his decision to keep Robert Gates as Defense Secretary from Bush's administration. I don't want to delve into the negative things the Conservatives are constantly saying, because this is a temporary relief. Individuals are agreeing instead on the bickering, If we as Americans would hold every political leader accountable for their actions, we wouldn't see half the problems we see today. Do you agree with Obama's Attorney General selection Eric Holder's decision on investigating the CIA officers in their interrogation tactics?

In USSR and even in later more free Russia, all communists voted 100% for any proposal of their bosses.
This phenomenon has a name "Democratic Centralism".
    "Democratic", indeed.
