The law's definition of neglect, exploitation and abuse are vastly different then what you are speaking of here. We are talking the bottom of the barrel, minimal parenting . Kids sitting in front of the computer all day is surely crappy parenting but not abusive or neglectful by the definition of the law under with child services has to followl. Again, its a matter of definition . By no means am I condoning their actions but by legal definition there is nothing to substaniate at this point (again the possiblity of risk of harm with the storm chasing incident). They very well can uncover more as the investigation continues.

Storm Chasing abuse? How about the 99% of other parents who let their kids sit in front on a TV/Computer ALL Day. Now That's abuse! At least their kids are outside.
