My assumption would be that Americans are drawn to Cuban medical schools NOT by the "free tuition" but because they failed to meet the academic entrance requirements to be admitted to a fully credentialed American medical school. I am uneasy being treated by doctors trained in foreign medical schools, especially those trained in the multiplicity of medical schools in the Caribbean. I have valued my current health insurance in part because it allows me to choose my doctor.

So, Eleanor's ideas are as follows: 1 - Look to Cuba for solutions to our health care issues, and 2 - institute a "public option" because an area of LA is "underserved". There is NO better option than to overhaul the way we deliver medical services to all 50 states? Under what provision of the Constitution is the federal government authorized to take money from me to pay for someone else's medical treatment?
