    Mr./Ms. "Rocknjocks":

That's pure bigotry. Not everyone is Christian - and Christianity is not necessarily the end-all take on the human spiritual "functionality." Homosexuals can't be "fruitful and multiply" directly - but they can adopt, or they can conceive by in vitro fertilization. Additionally, why do we want our numbers to continue growing madly? In this world of looming overpopulation crises, infertility is somewhat of a blessing.

So you do believe that we should stone offenders? Leviticus says you ought to. Are you going to cast the first rock? You are "to be pitied for repeating the Bible" verbatim because it tends to show that you are incapable of thinking for yourself, of making pragmatic and empathetic decisions. Orthodoxy inhibits free, critical reasoning. If a scripture told you to sacrifice your family and yourself to some diety (which some religious texts do), would you blindly follow through?

It's impossible to hate homosexuality and not "hate" homosexuals. Have you been paying attention? Same-sex attraction is an inborn trait, and it is an indivisible aspect of a person's character - if you hate such a "sin," you inevitably persecute the sinner. Your arguments are tired and weak.

fabulamirabilis, I think the passages concerning homosexuality are pretty clear and need no interpretation. But you libes love to interpret the bible anyway you so please just so long as it benefits WORLDLY trends. When will you libs ever grow a backbone for what the bible really says? If you would have read my post MORE CLEARLY you would have seen that i I never said that God hated homosexuals i said that God hates homosexuality which in leviticus makes that perfectly clear. Why am i to be pitied for repeating the bible?Who am i to change that verse around to benefit the world? And who are you to change that verse around to better fit worldly things. Are you God? No but you libs are as smart as he is right. There is no interpretation that needs to be made here. How can homosexuals be fruitful and multiply? If you honestly can read thru the bible and still say that homosexual marriage is ok Then you fabulamirabilis are the only fool that needs to be pitied.

    Mr./Ms. "Rocknjocks":

I'M NOT FORCING ANYONE TO LIVE BY ANY RULES, sir/madam. Gay marriage won't affect you at all - unless you're homosexual yourself. The sky won't fall because our citizens are given equal rights. Gays aren't bringing their marriages into churches, either. The marriages supporters are campaigning for are legally sanctioned ones; besides, the concept of matrimony is NOT something that's monopolized by Christian fundamentalism alone. Do all conservatives hate the term "secular?"

Homosexuality is not "filth." If you believe this because of a scant few verses in Leviticus...frankly, it is you who is to be pitied.

Sorry, but I'm a Christian, too. The thing is that some questionable tenets of our faith are best left open to interpretation. Not the virtues that are helpful to society and fellow man, no. But the vague Bible passages that "condemn" homosexuality, yes. The Bible also dictates that adulterers be stoned; do you agree with that? God does not hate homosexuals; if he explicitly said so, I might revise my position - and become atheist. I refuse to believe in a "hateful" God.
