Tripe: This article is completely one-sided and myopic. What opinion pieces like this refuse to address is the FACT that Universal Access, with the huge profits removed, LOWERS costs substantially.
Ireland provides NON-PROFIT Universal Health-care to their society for 7.5% of their GDP.
Japan provides non-profit Universal Access to their society for 8% of their GDP.
The US spends 16% of GDP.
The problem is not with health-care reform, but with the profit pigs who are obstructing change.

Samuelson`s sad discource only shows how extreme, even what might be considered a moderate conservative by many, how far they have fallen off the map of reality. and this guy would be considered an intellectual elite for the 'right'....stupid is stupid does, and the other sad part of this story is the general american public is not smart enough to see through the fear-mongering, lies and spin that represent this extreme conservative movement.

this guy is an idiot. while wearing glasses he is still very far-sighted. one of the worst writers in this great mag! a few months back he attacked O`s health plan with 'may-bes' 'coulds', etc. he does not present a resonable case as he does his little fiscal con spin. to sight the Lewin Group as some reference to this debate is so stupid, as most who have any sence of reality, know this group is just a huge lobbying group for the CEO`s of the industry. Samuelson needs to get his dick out of the ases of the for-profit rip offs. fire this idiot!!
