If pundits such as Will had devoted entire columns to every inane, erroneous or incomprehensible remark made by Obama's predecessor, there would be no trees left standing to print anything else. And, Will left out the most compelling example - George Bush the Elder was our first president to throw up in a Pacific nation.

I don't know what homosexuality has to do with race ???? Why are the two compaired in this article ? Being Gay , White, Black , Brown or Asian are so far from someones sexual choice....I agree did not like the proformace because of what he did ...He has no talent at all ...so to compair himself to other real artist do ...to me is point less...If the proformance was no one would have cared...

What is America's real "Pay-off" for staying in Afghanistan/Iraq? When the NYT reports that the US has spent much more in two countries that remain in B.C.,than they did to rebuild Europe after WWII unde the Marshall Plan, how can Americans understand the reason for such an investment when our nation's infrastructure has been crumbling for decades and education has been a dumbing-down process. Can it be that the White House has been taken over by a corportocracy regardless who is elected as President, barking demands for cheap labor on U.S. soil all for the benefit of the top 1% of CEO's with billion dollar pay checks. Our country appears to be returning to a master-servant society and instead of a skullery or plantation, or sweat shop, there will be millions who sit in front of computer screens for $13.00 per hour when utilities, food and housing will have doubled in the next 10-15 years.

This comment is in response to Dahlia Lithwick's article entitled "Jesus vs. Allah: The fight over God's secular title." I would like to submit that Dahlia Lithwick seemingly knows absolutely nothing about the origins of the Christmas celebration, or Christianity in general for that matter, if she thinks, as she asserts, that "Santas, reindeers [and] teddy bears in Santa hats" have anything at all to do with what she calls "Christmas displays of secular religious symbols." Christmas, from a Biblical/ thelogical perspective, is simply a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, Whom we Christians regard as the Savior of the World. One will not find Santa Claus or reindeer or teddy bears in the Bible or any intelligent theological discourse on Christmas or Christianity. And I point this out not as a rabid white conservative fundamentalist Christian -- I find myself often parting company with my fundamentalist brothers and sisters, especially on political/social matters such as civil rights and the President and health care -- but as a Democratic-leaning African American (not that my ethnicity matters here) Christian believer and voracious reader of Newsweek magazine.

I like Mr.Zakaria for his unbiased world views most of the time. But this time he view is blindly influenced by his national origin. The fact is Indian was an old ally of Soviet Union ally. It violated international treaty and did exactly what we fear Iran might do on nuclear weapons. Its caste system is a violation of human rights. It seems that we always eager call someone ally as long as they can "check on" someone else we don't like. Stop this cold war mentality. Look at our past or present allies like Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Is there any one we can be proud of?

Hey Newsweek........if I had a lot of extra money, I would buy lots of copies of your magazine.........just so I could burn them. I guarantee you would never have done this to Obama's wife. Isn't it amazing that these are the same liberal /journalist/hacks, that are lashing out against Fox News for not being real news. The Palin article is another pebble on the mountain of evidence which has long ago proven a strong left bias in the mainstream. I would cancel my subscription by I wouldn't give this rag a dime of my money, in fact I plan on calling sponsers of this edition and getting their view of the way Palin was treated by a magazine that they help bring to the newsstand. Journalism died with the Obama worshipping lasy year, but you would think that someone at Newsweek would have the courage to stand up and say Enough! Don't count on it....these people have no standards and certainly no integrity.

Newsweek has no shame. These people really believe they are journalist when they are nothing more than puppets of the Obama administration. I am not a big Sara Palin fan but I am utterly appalled at the way she has been treated by the media in this country. And the media wonders why everyone has moved to Fox news, look no further than this biased hatchet job they just did on Palin.

This is exactly why I will never buy another issue of Newsweek again. Nice hatchet job guys. If she's such a political flyweight then why does Gov. Palin scare the heck out of you guys anyway? Or better yet I have an idea; why don't you do some honest reporting that's good for the country instead of your own political agenda?
