I've been a subscriber for more than 40 years, but you've lost me with your "new" design. Despite the extra leading, the typeface is getting smaller and smaller and impossible to read. Don't you realize that your reading audience is getting older and needs larger typeface -- or are all your designers 22 yr-olds, or lasik survivors? Your website gives us the option to increase type size -- but your magazine is terrible on these old eyes.

I am so tired of lazy journalists. Ever since the beginning of 24hr 7day a week news , the integrety of reporting has spiraled to the level of the tabloids. There is so much time to fill w/ news that they resort to garbage "news", easy news where instead of doing research on hard news they resort to high school mentality. I find it embarrrasingly immature that any news agency let alone Newsweek are being so snarky. What sexual orientation a person is, is for one none of our business and two none of our business unless you want a date. What I am happy to see is so many comments reflecting my sentiments. I am a 51 yr. old straight female w/ 2 heterosexual kids. If one /both were gay I wouldn't have a problem w/ it except for the 19th century louts who would pose these questions in not only the news but the workplace, etc. & try to make them feel bad about themselves for daring to love / be attracted to the opposite sex as if any one has control over who they love. What I want to hear from Adam is nothing about his orientation. What I would love is for journalists to stop using peoples personal lives to fill up the papers/ airwaves because of their own laziness.

I dont like the feel of this article. In many places, especially my small hometown, President Bush is thought of with fond memories. I felt much safer when he was president, unlike the current occupant of the white house. If something like 9/11 happens again, God help us all!
