Barrett Sheridan is a writer-reporter with Newsweek, where he focuses on business, economics, and technology issues.

From 2006 through early 2008, Sheridan was the lead researcher for Fareed Zakaria on his most recent book, The Post-American World. Prior to that, he worked for The World Bank's Poverty Reduction and Economic Management group in Mexico City, and spent a summer on Capitol Hill.

Sheridan graduated from Stanford University with bachelors' degrees in economics and international relations.
