Brian Braiker
General EditorBrian Braiker writes about technology, tech culture, and arts and entertainment for Newsweek and Newsweek.com, and has contributed to a dozen cover stories for the magazine. In October 2007 he launched the Web site's parenting blog, "I, Breeder." He also frequently fills in as co-anchor for Newsweek On Air, our weekly award-winning syndicated radio program and podcast.
Braiker joined Newsweek as its New England stringer in 2001 and joined the staff full-time in November, 2003. Until May, 2006, he edited the online arts and entertainment content. He has also written for The New York Times, Time Out New York, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, Daily Variety and Salon.com, among others.
Braiker holds an M.A. in international affairs from George Washington University and a B.A. from the University of California at San Diego, where he studied French, English and American literature.
