There is still a pecking order even in military retirement. You must remember that Gration had his head floating around McPeak's heine for a couple of years as the Exec Officer to the AF Chief. Gration would never allow himself to get ahead of McPeak unless of course McPeak looses his faculties. He lost most of them running the AF- McPeak was the most despised AF chief in history. Gration is a head-case. He once commanded the 3rd wing in Alaska and during the 80th anniversary, he had his likeness painted into the commisioned anniversary print along with other more generic aviators of history. He openly told everyone he came into contact that he is going to be President of the United States. Sorry Scott-- Looks like you head will only be floating around the heinie of the President-elect (shiver)

But at the same time I wonder - this guy knows how to blow his own horn. Just adapt to the strategy of your boss. And when one of your boss's qualities is to make others feel happy about helping him - well that might be a deal maker..... (Robert Gates - bite your heart out)

This man is going places, not just literally. But he's got a valid perspective on the whole military industry and Africa. I think I just read an application for Secretary of Defense.... someone... :0)

So why have you not addressed the possibility of Gration as V.P.? Or is that not a possibility?
