National Civil Rights Museum.
Charts the history of civil rights from slavery until the late 1960's. The museum has recently undergone an $11 million expansion project that included the purchase of the rooming house where James Earl Ray shot Martin Luther King. Admission $12 adults, $8.50 children.

Stax Museum of American Soul Music
Home to Tina Turner's iconic gold dress and a century-old church that explains the gospel roots of soul music. Admission $10 adults, $7 children.
